He went to swing on it and it came crashing down onto him, slamming his face into the stage. His injuries included broken cheek bone and eye socket, and was in a coma for a long time.
I think you are referring to Miles Kennedy. He was the guy that got pulled out the last time they did 'Stand Up' in the movie. He does have an amazing voice also!

@dkiavoloui yes he was, he sang all the songs the main character was suposed to be singing/he was mark's singing voice. Jeff Scott Soto was the singing voice for Steel Dragons original singer in the movie.
It's pretty interesting that they do the version that Zakk Wylde and company improved versus their original. The singer is the same on both versions but clearly the musicians who were part of the movie made him elevate his game and make a good song great.
He still sounds decent, a little flat in parts but this is a very tough song to sing in my view.
He and Jeff Scott soto should of done a Steel Dragon tour. What sucks is that movie died cause the release date was around 9/11 and no one was going to the movies. I have the CD soundtrack and is in my top 10. My now 11 year old daughter loves this CD!

I am very familiar with the movie. JSS only sings the parts for "Bobby Beers". Mike sings all of the parts for Mark's character "Chris".
Mike sings "stand up" in the movie about 3 times. JSS only sings it once in the beginning of the movie, (first concert).

He and Jeff Scott soto should of done a Steel Dragon tour. What sucks is that movie died cause the release date was around 9/11 and no one was going to the movies. I have the CD soundtrack and is in my top 10. My now 11 year old daughter loves this CD!

I know i might get my dick chopped off for saying this, but remember im a huge fan of this guy, but his vocals are not nearly as good as they used to be, hes good on a CD but not that great live, he used to be amazing live

Saw these guys 2x in 3 days. I told Milli, there are NO ADJECTIVES good enough to explain how incredible, amazing, outstanding, awesome his vocals are. What an inspiration!!!! Beyond AMAZING...Like I said, there's no words to describe it!!
