this fire doesnt make sense to me..you have plenty of pipeman ALL over...was there an issue trying to find the seat of the fire? and why are so many people jus standingbaround and so concernd with the roof or laddering the bldg.?
@lewisbran exactly why I always say, "please don't critique a fire just from a picture or short video clip". The video is taken over more than a 2 hr period of time. Therefore, conditions change and so do tactics. The seat of the fire was orig in the basement with not very good access. The fire then extended thru the walls into numerous rooms on all floors of the bldg. The ops went from interior to exterior and back again. 3 alarms of manpower is why so many were standing around, manpower pool.
@ jasonok7 r u fire fighter? If not then u dont knw how it is to fight fire.... we get paid that much to put our life on the line, everybody life is priceless.... if u live in lansdowne town or city whichever, n your house catches fire then wat? r u still gonna complain about paying taxes for the FD. Me im a city of newark fire fighter and i think alot ppl complain about tax dollars for the FD. until they house catches fire,,, and then thats wen da respect comes in for us firefighters.
Good footage, but when an evacuation is sounded, last time I was taught 22 yrs. ago, you went to manpower pool to be accounted for no matter what you were doing.
I know up where I am located in Berks County PA when the evacuation tones are sounded your to report to your respective apparatus and wait so they can get a head count, now every county I guess may be different.

Very good video. Interior attacks that end in evacuations are often the scariest fires. Glad to hear everyone was 10-4...eventually.
