  • 11.1 i think it is I dont know if they have released any hotfix ill check it out

  • @woxer11 - You may try older Catalyst versions, new ones are better for the new 6000 series and 5000 series.

  • I just downloaded the latest Catalyst Pack on Ati´s homepage. I have Catalyst A.I on so i dont think its related to crossfire...Hmm well i´ll try to overclock a little big more with stock cooler and see if its any difference.

  • I dont even know if I have the best driver for 4870x2.. Had a lot of trouble with Ati drivers.

  • @woxer11 - What kind of trouble you had? Maybe you don't have the right drivers installed and Crossfire isn't even working...

  • Im from Sweden so 200 to 400kr - 20 to 40£..

  • Can you recommend any good/cheap cooler?

  • @woxer11 - What price range?

  • @arvutihull Well 20-40£

  • @arvutihull What are you using? 10.9a seems pretty good.

  • @woxer11 - I'm using 10.5, 10.9 may be good also.

  • I need an i7 or just a new CPU cooler so I can OC to 3.8ghz?

  • @woxer11 - Both would pretty much solve the problem. i7 would maybe get a couple of more FPS compared to Q9550@3.8GHz.

  • I have a 4870x2 with 11.1CCC drivers, Q9550@3.01 and 4gb ram and i only get like 20fps avarage

  • @woxer11 - CPU is bottlenecking.

  • cpu bottlenecks are RARE, and there is no one here

  • @STCodes - In this video the graphics card was bottlenecked by the CPU for sure.

  • @arvutihull oh sorry then, well im using an q6600 @3.2 ghz, and a 470 gtx gpu, any chance of a bottleneck there?

  • @STCodes - A bit maybe, not much.

  • fake, lol. u didnt get that fps with 16xq, cryengine not so optimised.

  • I got, Cryengine 2 is one of the best optimised game-engines, the people who say that it isn't just can't run it and haven't seen the real graphics quality of Crysis.

  • uso da.

  • But my CPU is (not really shit) but not as good as yours. I was irritated by that! How do u disabled that bottleneck? Oh hell, i am gettin` really courious about my new Sys comin` in 2 or 3 days... cant wait, wont wait, muahhhhhhhaaaaaa gettin` mad!!!

  • I eliminated the bottleneck by buying a new and faster CPU (Core i7 920).

  • If your System runs that Game like this, than i should keep mine... It`s about a quarter of the Price of yours and runs min. 10 Frames better? What the hell is goin on?

  • I had a huge CPU bottleneck when I did this video. I replaced my CPU and now it runs about twice as good.

  • Finally know how to : "r_DisplayInfo=1" type it on you level config (easy, medium .. ) Etc.

  • Ahh, ok thanks for help : )

  • But how like that on 0:27 ?

  • It's called Devmode or something... it's in the Crysis benchmarks. You can somehow enable it in the game also but I personally don't know how to do that.

  • Buu, how to check FPS :((?

  • Download fraps (just google it).

  • Do not believe people who claim that AMD Athlon X2 processors will not bottleneck even mid-range graphics cards. My AMD Athlon X2 at 2.80ghz bottlenecked my old 9600gt, but I thought the PC was graphics limited - so I upgraded to a GTX260 and guess what, framerates in Crysis are IDENTICAL, therefore proving that CPU is the bottleneck. Now I'm going to order a decent CPU at the least a Phenom II/Core i7.

  • Nice! I just got a Core i7 920 3 weeks ago and it's awesome!

  • lies..u prob ran the game in power saving mode which runs with half its actual clock.

  • No, CPU-Z showed the right clocks.

  • thats not what i meant...im talking abt the guy with the athlon...

  • dam dude i get like an average 25 fps and i got a amd 2.3 gigaherz brisbrane and a 9600 gt 512 mb on high with 8x AA. but i dont think it would run good in vista like yours does cuz vista slows shit down like a BITCH!

  • I want to get this card, how well do you think it would go with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000, 3GHz? Would i get good fps in same settings as you?

I get about 32fps in sli with 2 8800GTS 512 cards in 1680x1050 all very high, would it be much of an increase if i get this card?

please help i don't want to waste my money.

  • if you already have 8800 GTS SLi then going for 4870 X2 will not be worth it. Athlon 64 X2 6000+ will bottleneck 4870 X2 but not too much.

  • 6000+ would bottleneck the 4870x2 like nothing youd ever seen

  • your pc sounds like a vacuum

  • yes, GPU fan was 60% during that test. My camera has bad audio quality and makes it sound a lot louder than it was too.

  • you said that the noise was caused by your second computer

  • yes, mainly it was, it would have been much quieter if I had turned my second computer off.

  • What game setting are you playing on? Any AA or AF?

I just wanna know how the 4870 X2 performs on 1680x1050 with AA in this game cause I might buy one.

  • I'm usually playing Crysis with Very High, 1680x1050 and no AA (that's how I'm playing it on MP). FPS in MP is around 24-50, average 35 FPS.

  • nice but not to nice

  • yup thats why far cry 2 is going to be epic! cant wait for that game

  • hahhahah,

i have never heard to much bullshit in my life.

soon as you put the post proceessing to very high it uses 4 threads

  • warhead should be multythreaded if i'm not wrong...?

  • the reson intel chips can e overclocked to much is becuase the process is outdated,

legacy is about 24 years old now.

  • if you compare clocks they dont so why dont you just fuck off.

  • AMD will catch up?

i think the idea of 4 cpu cores useing a 1600to 1800 mhz bus is a disgrace.

    intel are outdated.

  • Intel's performance is higher out of the box and they don't even have to take maximum out of Core2-processors to beat AMD lineup. Then comes Nehalem..

  • yeah,

    so a Q6600 @2.6ghz will get higher fps in crysis than a 9950 @2.6ghz

    get a grip fag.

  • Yep! In Crysis that's true. Though in games it's GPU that matters more. In software it's tough match between Q6600 and X4 9950 when both are at stock clocks. Though Q6600 consumes a lot less wattage to get there.

I hope that you are just bad flame bait..calling someone with names is weak and sign of not trusting one's own arguments.

  • come back with some proper education.

this is no place for amateurs.

  • Ok so that's "bad flame bait" then. Too hard to get provocated with you.

  • make sense.

  • kimnice is right.

If you look at 3dmark and gaming scores, Intel's quads beat AMDs at the same clock speeds.

  • Intel's 65nm quads are not beating AMD-s 65nm quads. 45nm Intel's are beating them of course.

  • nope.

if you lower your bus to 200.

    you loose.

  • yes, of course, but Phenom's arhitecture is not meant to work with 200mhz bus.

  • i think they should bump them upto 333mhz or 266mhz

  • but they don't have the same amount of cache, nor chipset size.

Performance isn't measured in frequency speed alone. And with that, AMD CPUs are realistically priced for their performance.

  • Yeah, I know.

If I was on a tight budget I'd go with an AMD, I'm not trying to start any arguments or anything.

  • yes really,

4 individual threads will benefit more from a phenom than a intel quad.

  • how does it feel to game with this quality

  • picture quality is awesome, but gameplay is quite boring. I hope they fixed that thing in warhead.

  • nice vid 5/5! showem what amd can do =D

  • Thanks!

  • can you do a video of this with fraps sometime.

  • of course. You should see FPS with high quality in this video aswell.

  • phenom power.
