I think the fact I don't speak Japanese makes it impossible notice all the things that make bad voice acting (voices entirely different than the average person has, poor emotional expression in tone, etc etc) -- then again, Japanese voice acting for games could really just be 10000X better.
Umm... You can change your Voice to Japanese in the PS2 version...Disgaea 2 Cursed Memories has Japanese and English voices... And I think English VAs are better...
The original Disgea for PSP had some very good voice acting & personally there is no point besides stupidity to get a game in a diffrent language when there is one in english.
im tempted to buy this game since i used to have ps2 version (untell it broke 4 days after i got it wtf O.o) but ehhh japanese writing would make it harder in my opinion

It's not confirmed for the US. A lot of games have been licensed under the ESRB for other countries and were never localized.
