a lot of high-end chefs are like this. he just happens to be an ex-footballer as well, who also has to perform for tv, so he is more intense than most. his portfolio really speaks for itself though, people who have never been inside a heated professional kitchen run by a hot-headed chef have no business calling him a clown or an actor etc etc when he has something like 20+ michelin stars. that's like saying that donald trump on apprentice is just an idiot with no business sense.

first of all if you watch the shows, you know ramsay knows how to behave himself. he couldn'tve gotten this good and famous without it. he is just being extra hard on people to make them better. a lot of coaches can be like this and worse.

Most of the people who give nasty comments have not worked in a kitchen before (home kitchen does not count).
They don't understand the immerse pressure in there. Some people thrive in pressure, some crumple. Tempers flare up easily in kitchens.
