Fabulous work once again mate, your footage never seems to dissapoint me, perfect camera work! really nice build up scenes also! fantastic work 5* and yet another fav for me. Cheers
it certenly draws the crowds i was ment to be seing that at guildford but i was going on holiday that exact day so there for was not able to see it but still another time great vid 5* bye the way
Excellent video. I was unable to get out on the 13/04 so have been looking for somebody to post some foottage. Yours is much appreciated. Had planned to get up to Buriton summit on the south side for the crepuscular return. Maybe next time! Keep up the good work.
A superb piece of work Martyn, with the little add-ons making it a wonderful experience to watch. You were lucky that everyone stood their ground in that field, and this made it a memorable sequence...5* Bob
Thanks for your comment. I wanted to film the departure from Guildford but time was tight so i settled for London Road as an alternative. It turned out to be a good choice.
Thanks very much. I enjoyed that shot too. Getting a clear view of the train wasn't going to happen no matter where you stood. So i thought stand at the back and take in the whole scene. With the fading light and the crowd staring in awe it looks like a scene from Close Encounters.
Its strange how Syon Lane and London Road were really desterted, but at Liss it must come as a shock to you to see a whole field full of peeps alike! But still you all did well that day. Really well put together.
Thanks Ryan.Syon Lane is on my local line where steam is a regular occurance, although shouldn't be taken for granted.Liss on the other hand is on the Portsmouth direct where the sight of a steam loco is quite rare. Can't explain London Road as that hardly gets any at all.

Nice one!
Guildford never seems to draw out many people, even though you have a good vantage point on the bridge that goes over the whole railway.
I was happy to have seen it depart guildford on the return journey. It sounded great!
Hearing it working off into the distance.

Thanks Bob. Yes i was lucky no one broke ranks and they all played their part in making it an unusual enjoyable shot.

Really nice work again, the deserted station in the darkness was a good finish to the day.

Brilliant video once again. I really like the way you filmed the shot at Liss by including the audience.
