  • i think it would have been cool to have hattori as the black iron chef.. i never liked him until this episode and ive seen many many.. i have alot of respect for him now.. thought of him as a know-it-all but he knows what hes doing.. even if he cant battle under pressure

  • oh por Hattori. Hes a good commentator and a great chef but hes no iron chef. To bad he moves so slow and didn't choose Chen he really could have won.

  • @eugene680 Well Michiba's dishes are excelent so I guess by comparison they kinda do, but they are still pretty complex and I sure coudn't make them.

  • Satori-san is a big reason I watch the show.

  • This shows how good the Iron Chefs are...there's a lot to go into the planning and prep work for the dishes. Unfortunetely, once Hattori got down in the battle, he got killed by the time constraint. Full credit for heart though.

  • Just goes to show how good Michiba is that he SMOKES Hatori without breaking a sweat with an ingredient that has little to nothing to do with Japanese cuisine. He was always my favourite IC.

    Hattori's in for some nastiness, though.

  • i work as a sous chef at an italian restaurant on catalina island and my boss will drop $6700-$7800 for a pound of black and white truffles. we use them in our tagliatelle with lobsters,grilled vegetables in a white wine garlic shallot cream reduction. i use them when i eat scrambled eggs.

  • I hear truffles go great with eggs. have you ever used truffles in desserts? i know with chocolate, they taste great.

  • The Truffle beverage was pretty creative. I always thought Morimoto was the creative one, but Michiba had a whole creativity of his own.
