  • so you use the same speedstick for every client? I think thats unsanitary man. Either use a different speedstick for each customer or use liquid speedstick in a spray bottle.

  • @vincemedic1 he has his own private studio i doubt he uses a the same speed stick on every client

  • @vincemedic1 I have not seen a person who is stupid as you in a long time, before this tattoo artist applies the speed stick,he desinfect the whole area,so jerk its clean! And you can use it again....

  • watch my video on the correct way to use speedstick for a stencil!!!

  • NO NO NO NO NO use a tong depressor to put on the speed stick u just got done breaking his skin with a razor and then u put the speed stick right on his skin and then u are doing to put the same speed stick on the next guy that's not clean

  • @lukek2boy Better if you get the gel type and just squeeze it out of the bottle onto your prep surface. Then apply from there using a tongue depressor or gloved hand.

  • Were Are you At I like your Teaching and how you do it. are you in long beach Ca.

  • thanks for the help

  • i print out the image, and got my speed stick, regular, the greenish/blue kind, and i apply it too my skin, for a stencil, but when i peel off the image, nothing comes off, whats happening?

  • @BloodyPenguinn you need spirit paper or a stencil pencil

  • the one kind of person that shouldnt get a tattoo: a skinny white boy

  • thank u so much sir for this video it helps me a lot ;D

  • No a troll but DAMN, This guy Is a baboon, speed stick known throughout the tattooing history ? Yep for being a big noo noo due to cross contamination . Wouldn't put it past me if that wasn't his old ladies razor , that's why he's laughing so much . Sorry dude but No

  • perfect timeing

  • I see he has like a green speed stick case mine happens to be white and blue and the actual deodorant is whit would that matter? I didn't see what color his was but mine is unscented and everything some one flow back

  • what kind of pen or pencil works best for applying stencils

  • thnx 4 the vid tutorial

  • he looks like that hillbilly from the simpsons

  • its just good measure

  • He need 4 minutes for this?! xD

  • @GamingStarTV LOL was thinking the same thing dude xD

  • Use a new speed stick everytime?! WOW IDIOT. Use a sterile tongue depressor and just get a glob off into your glove. -.-

  • I agree with Criissybabes on that. Like T.V you can always change the channel.

  • i have 1 of them rool ons

  • mmkay..

  • instead of a & d ointment, this guy uses preperation H.

  • Very useful, thank you.

  • thanks for the upload very usefull :) btw nice outlineing

  • can you outline the tattoo with a regular pen?

  • Lol i like how everyone is spazing over deoderant

  • IDIOT !!!!!!

  • @TheTommyraine Nice to meet you))

  • U can buy green soap from CVS pharmacy.

  • i want one ... but i want my 1st one on the left side of my chest or on my rib cage.

  • pice of shit! You are such a wanker!

  • @MrPartizzan calm down

  • speed stick should be called spread germs with speed stick!.....if you ever get a tat and it gets infected and the tattooist blames your poor care of it yet he uses speed sticks like this he's to blame!...My gf had a bad skin infection due to contaminated speed stick! the tattoo shop wouldn't accept the blame..yet funny now he wont use them!..i like the guy on these vids he seems a good type..but do not use speed sticks unless you apply them without direct contact of the stick to skin.

  • @CrissyBabes hey u must not of understood what i was telling u.. yes we all need to shave but do not rub deodorant on it then rub the same deodorant onto another persons skin.

  • Okay jeez people need to stop freaking out, jeezing he's helping us. if ya don't liek the way he's doing it, here's an idea Watch a different video! duh!

  • @CriisyBabes I'm here for comedy.

  • fuck you.

go to work instead hof making silly videos

  • @live2a4rok when you shave the skin you make micro abrasions on the skin which will leak blood and any blood born pathogens that are lingering on the skin or in the blood. just because you do not see it doesn't mean its not there. disease is microscopic. learn your shit before you say I dont make sense thanx. maybe you can take a blood born pathogens course and it will teach u everything u need to know about cross contamination.

  • @Tystats Omg! many many tatto artists shave them. Even the famous/ best tattoo artists do.

  • yeah there is no bloodborne pathogens to contaminate other people but there are germs on the skin surface so that's why it's important to put on your gloves, green soap/razor the area first then pat dry. Finally put the speedstick on thin. Get it everyone? I mean dang this dude shows you on video and still...pay attention. Steps have to be in that order as he shows. I've tattooed since 1995 so shut up and listen if you really wana get down and sling.

  • Its funny to me how people who have never even done a tattoo in their entire lives are saying that this guy is doing it wrong. lol people are funny smh

  • enos doesn't like the tattoo lol

  • I was always told to put the speed stick on the paper towel, then rub the paper towel with the speed stick residue onto the person.

  • thanks for the great info :)

  • how do u upload a video on u tube that is speed'd up, like if a draw a pic that took a hour and want it to play in 5 minutes , what is that called an how do i do it ???????? please someone anyone

  • Thanks

  • I've found that deodorant always left the skin too greasy and would smudge the stencil even when left to dry. Just plain distilled water or green soap works just fine when I make my stencils and the stencil stays a lot stronger on the skin. But everyone has their preferences.

  • I was in no way advocating the use of deodorant, my comment to Gozzo68 was in response to his comment that HIV can live outside the body for 14 days, it can not. Hepatitis, on the other hand, absolutely can. No is no reason whatsoever, that person should use deodorant, even with a stick. You can just use your green soap or Technicare.

  • Dear Gozzo68... HIV can not live outside the body for more than a few minutes... Unless it's in a syringe. Look it up.

  • mitchel is a crackhead.

  • @randomhatemail no hes not, crackheads dont spend 100 + bucks on tattoos when they can buy crack for it

  • These videos are quite educational, Allot of tattoo artists wouldnt agree with lgiving out the secretes of the trade, but its allot better then letting street kids with ink gats runnin around blowin spoints without learning how to aim first.

    TATTOO GUY IN VIDEO,

youv deffinatly saved allot of people from getting getting flesh raped by newbie gatters, now at least thier unskilled hands can potential ink some mediocre work rather than, hitting the bone, if you know what i mean

  • For all you watching this video. Hes doing a good job besides TWO things. Please people.. Use eternal ink. Second. if your going to use speed stick. Dont waste your money. Use a sterile tounge depressor to get a nice gob out. haha.

  • @aitattoo2010 .....this is an old video ..think its bout 7 years old

  • Fucking mouth breathers!

  • @GonzoZodiac Dont you mean 'breeders'?

  • This guy is a jackass, thanks for teaching people how to screw up a tattoo, I will have cover-up projects for life!! That is job security i tell ya! Keep the videos rolling jackass!

  • dogsinyard,

The reason the pros don't share info to the general public is because it probably it took them a long hard time to learn the things they have learned and acquired.

Speedstick is very unsanitary as well. We are not in the 1930's!! This guy obviously has no idea of what the modern standards really are. i would say he is about 15 years behind the rest!

  • Seems to be a lot of comments on here about the use of speed stick being inappropriate, Tattooist's have been using speed stick, since they been using electric machines. As for the cross contamination issue at what point in the video, does this guy say he is gonna use it again ? You just use a tongue depressor and put some speed stick on that and use it like a butter knife on the area the stencil is being applied. Great video

Thanks a lot ;)

  • HAHAHAHA SPEED STICK. THATS THE WORST WAY TO PUT A STENCIL, ITS NO CLEAN AND ITS A EASY WAY TO TRANSFER VIRUS.

  • Hey, I've been practicing the stenciling and the speedstick does noooo effect on putting it on skin! Can u tell me what's wrong?

  • @millionman2023 try using detol disinfectant works perfectly for me

  • is it necesary to use a tattoo transfer chemical?

or can you just apply green soap and then slap it on?or water?

  • @LSD88420 Everyone has their own preferences. If it works and it's sanitary, go for it. Be it green soap or speed stick.

  • wow, thank you so much. I'm a beginner and ive always wondered why my stencils always came off during my tattoo, now i know you need it to set, thank you so, so much!

  • Do any of you know how much a thing of Speed Stick costs? You can get it at freaking Dollar Tree. So you have to use a new stick every time. Big whoopdeedoo. One buck extra expense for a tattoo. My shop has a 60 dollar minimum on tattoos. I don't think one extra buck that they have to spend is going to break the bank.

  • @dogsinyard You tell them. I would be more worried about an artist who hasnt tried his best to watch every video or learn everything he can about tattooing! Who cares what tattoo artist he learns it from the more the better. I want my customers to be happy and healthy!!!!!

  • nakulbaan ang ngpa tato...

  • LMAO "you cut me" lol

  • THIS GUY KNOWS WOT HES ON ABOUT I AM JUST STARTIN & HES BEEN A GREAT HELP THX

  • @deejayflexis your just starting so you dont know what real help is

  • there is a ton of good information and free forums for tattoo on Teach Me To Tattoo and Tattoo-Apprentice on the web - check em out - look at my youtube videos

  • STOP SAYING ''KAY''

  • gotta say tattoos are great but very addictive to get

  • I like his info as a og tattoo artist...he is not a actor, just a pro passing his skills.

  • I SAY THIS GUYS VIDEO CLIPS ON TATTOOING HAVE BEEN SOME OF THE MOST INFORMATIVE IVE SEEN ON THE WEB AND HIS WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST ONE THAT I FOUND THAT TOLD YOU JUST HOW FAR YOU SHOULD BREAK THE SKIN SO GREAT JOB "EXPERTVILLAGE"

  • i just use a very light coat of Greensoap and water mix and it works rather well for transferring stencils to skin.

  • thank u for your input man.

  • If your just tattoo your self only the deodorant stick seems like a good idea for transfering stencils. Thanks !

  • The tattooist keeps stealing the client's cheeseburgers. Yeah, I would stay away from using deodorant unless you want someone to get sick.

  • Thanks for the info much apperciated, ignore the idiots posting BS comments I do.

  • i love blood born pathogens!!!

  • i use green soap...to me i think its better.

  • i tattooed myself the other day and i got an infection. it's kind of green around it and kind of yellow. if i want to touch it up can i just do it while it's healing right now? i tried to tatto the same devil guy on my neck and it looks ok. i think it might need a touch up though.

  • no one ever told me to let it dry!, finally now i wont wipe off the complete stencil while i tat, thank you

  • Deoderant is a terrible idea.... what happens if you nick your client shaving and then wipe their blood all over your deoderant stick while applying your stencil.... Do you just go out and buy a new one, or do you use it on the next client. Based on teh fact that he just capped, it I think we can assume what happens..... Cross contamination, great teacher there.....

  • 420 dude

  • can anyone please tell me what is in the green soap like the actual ingredients of it i can't seem to wipe my ink away cleanly

  • alcohol...it's not really the best for tattooing, technicare is great.

  • @bowlinwes300 Trust me dude, your not going to be able to just make it, it's a tincture and will cost way more to make than to just buy the shit.

  • @bowlinwes300 you can use vasiline to wipe it off. it seems to work better for me but u just use a little bit. and plus it helps with the bleeding too.

  • is that one of the baldwin brothers?

  • my tattoo came out fine

  • BUENA. GRACIAS.

  • what about A&D ointment.... a few tattoo artist's i know use that instead of deoderant

  • @Icemac78 its too "greasy" and takes too long to dry in a busy shop time managment is very important

  • @Icemac78 no they don't, that is the lubrication not the stencil application.....

  • woohoo he is sooooo sexy LOL

he can do a tatt for me anyday :p

  • Um, what's the equivalent to 'speed stick'? Seeing as we don't have this in the UK... =]

  • old spice

  • yeah we do adidas do them there loads that make them do just make sure it the stick type and non fragrance.

  • Thanks man.

  • @nomakgfk that stencil came out fine how the fk did he fail???...

  • NEVER use deodorant unless you want to use a brand new stick every tattoo!! especially if you shave the area first!! you will pass blood born pathogens very easily if you use that stick on another person!! use Detol instead! will disinfect the skin and allow you to apply the stencil.

  • @Tystats makes since where can you get detol by thw way?

  • @Tystats is that spelt "dettol"? with 2 t's ? where can i get it?

  • thanx for email your info was most appreciated .

  • i live in the uk an we dont have speed stik . what is the uk version?????

  • Any deodorant will work, dont get the antiperspirant cuz that wont work at all; I havnt tried roll on stuff though but the most sterile way, like I said before, is Dettol. Its an antiseptic liquid disinfectant that you can probably find at your local pharmacy (London Drugs? :) thats where I get mine here in BC). So ya, if you get Dettol, fold a paper towel twice and make a well in the center, pour some in the well then apply it liberally to the area that your putting the stencil on. Cheers.

  • Are you use the same speed stic every time?I think this is not higienist.

  • Dettol works, too.

  • ya mean 2 apply the stencil ? i live in the uk an we dont have speed stik duz any1 know what the uk version is ????? much appreciated

  • ok im looking on how to create the stencil... ive tried pretty much everything....i cant afford the proper stencil paper....any other ways i could make a stencil and sucessfully get it onto the skin?

  • draw something on regular paper n ink then do the same thing with the deodernt the gel deodernt works best for me

  • wow... ive been tattooing since 95 and i dont think ive seen someone do the things this guy does....skip the deodorant... get a clean folded paper towel, spray it lightly with green soap.. not soaking just lightly, rub gently on place to add stencil then apply stencil...once on skin rub lightly with same paper towel and then remove stencil...tada!! safe, easy, sanitary and a perfect stencil... oh and i agree loose the wooden chairs...sheesh man.....

  • deodorant used right on this skin for every client - disgusting.

if you are going to use deodorant you put it on the paper towel, and use that , not right on the skin.

  • I think it's interesting that everyone is so afraid of getting and spreading "AIDS" (It's actually HIV and not everyone who is HIV positive has AIDS) HIV is actually difficult to spread though tattooing but HEPATITIS on the other hand... Now that's what ya'll should be worried about. HIV dies almost instantly when exposed to air but Hepatitis can live for weeks. Also, you can buy throw away skin markers so that you don't reuse your pens on your clients.

  • @sarchuleta HIV has been known to survive for up to 14 days outside the human body, so i wouldnt test your theory, and your right about the pens the ones to get are called surgical markers, and cost about 20 cents when you buy em by the box.

  • It's funny when people complain about deodorant. If the artist free-hand draws with markers, it's the same thing. He doesn't buy a brand new marker set just for you =)

  • you dont contaminate people with aids like that idiot..you can only get it from mixing bobily fluids

  • so if he has aids would you rub that speed stick on ur own skin next??? I doubt it but ur still gonna put it on ur next victim! you should learn about cross contamination before rotting ppl with unsterilized information!

  • You can't get aids from a friggin' deodorant... That's only through bodily fluids, mainly blood... but I dunno anyone stupid enough to rub HIV infected blood into an open sore or stick themselves with a used needle..

What people mean by "cross contamination" is nothing more but a simple rash... Everyone has bacteria living on their skin, different people have different traits that decide what bacterias thrive on ones epidermis.. thus why people have unique body odor. (bacteria + sweat)

  • yeah. this video might seem good to a noraml person that has no knowledge in the industry. You wouldn't be thanking him if you knew at all about tattooing, in this video alone I saw at least 2 cross contamination and overall around 6 mistakes and he hasn't even started to tattoo yet!

  • what does he do so wrong there?

    are u tattoo artist?

why dont u make a better video if u do know this art?

  • using porous wooden chairs - using the same filthy deodorant stick on every client, contaminating and cross contaminating on video - check out this nubs' other videos - great way to learn what not to do

tattooing is not something you learn from watching videos - you learn by having a skilled and knowledgeable mentor teach you.

  • this guy's a joker! there far more superior products out there to apply a stencil now. Also, by using the same roll-on deodrant on each person could cause cross contamination before tattooing has even begun. Anything that touches the skin before ot after tattooing should be disposed of after each use, wrapped up, or steralised! Do people actually follow advise from guys like these?

  • ???

  • Everyone begins somewhere, The best of the best didn't start out being the best, They started somewhere just like everyone else, I remember where I started , I bought a kit, And started tattooing pig ears, You think GETTING tattoos is addictive? TATTOOING is the most addictive thing i've ever done. As for stencils, I just use green soap to apply. Works great, But speed stick method has been around for years. Good stuff!

  • what ink do they use for the stencil

  • its thermal graphic fax paper but your better off just to purchase it from a tattoo supply shop

  • its not ink its a transfer sheet that is kind of like carbon paper for the skin it has a peice of thin paper then a "Carbon-like" paper ten a yellow piec of paper and you just go over the picture and the carbon like stuff sticks to the other side of the picture ... and there you have it you have a transfer hehe

  • Very good explanation good video.

  • yeah whatever and have you even listened to ICP? do you understand what they mean?? or is your head so far up your ass you cant hear anything?

  • And how is her putting public health in jeaopardy??

And you ever think maybe the guy wanted a shitty flash tattoo?? and not a good bit of custom

  • lol whatd he say about the razor??

  • I agree with tat2doc, all people have their own way and there is no right or wrong way there's only your way right?. Well as long as you can handle it properly, then no ones opinion or suggestions or stupid little comments matter.

P.S. Common sense to me is just something that holds someone back from trying out new things, its just something everyone does over and over again and that doesn't lead to any new WAYS does it? Oh and don't bother answering those questions.

  • Fact remains that I was doing my part before you even thought about being a tattooist. What have you done?

Hey everyone, CronicArt is gonna teach us all the right way to do things.

Oh great tattoo guru, we are not worthy.....lmao.

Lay off the pot and Hannah Montana and come back to earth. You're no expert & your way is no better or worse then anyone else's.

Just another little fish in a big pond that thinks they're gonna take over the world.

We taught you remember? You didn't teach us.

  • Wow, an expert tattooist with 13 years experience. I'm impressed. Define proper procedure.

I've got 40 years experience and helped author the state regs for NC, and some in Oklahoma.

And I guarantee that your way and my way are different. That makes you no more right or wrong then anybody else is.

But perhaps you could do a video and show the whole tattoo world how it's supposed to be done. That would be thrilling.

  • Dude what you say is true, but were talking about tattooing not machanic shit.

But if he can fix my tires and has a licence to do it and hes careful with my car, and he was cheap, then yea I would.

  • wow when did everyone suddenly become professional tattoo artists, leave the man alone, if this guy likes tattooing let him dont judge him for doing it his way.

  • sir shake alot.....

  • wow speed stick i haven't seen anyone do this in years lol. i just use the green soap it works fairly well by itself

  • hater

  • You can use Dettol Stencil Transfer Liquid. Its one of thebest solutions to transfer the stencil. Dettol is also a topical antiseptic and disinfectant solution. Another transfer solution you can use is Stencil Pro, but it doesn't have the disenfectant qualities of Dettol.

  • well if you dont want the tattoo artist, or in your case a scratcher friend to use the speed stick he could just use the green soap that he preps your skin with...

  • Or there exists more than one way to do something and ALL of you are assholes.

STFU this is better than i heard from anybody coming out the pen.

Also, nobody takes poor grammar seriously. Brush up on some basics of decent communication.
