Girl, get shelter NOW! OMG, my parents taught us that. When we were kids visiting town us kids were scattered about and the sirens came on. Like Mom and Dad taught us. Get to shelter now. We all did. Latter, when we got back together, no drama, Mom and Dad were very happy we did as told. When the sirens go off shelter NOW! It may already be too late. My point. Its better to be smart than dead.

@supercellfrenzy Tornado sirens go off in the middle of my performance! (I'm playing Amazing Grace) My piano teacher was even so distracted she forgot to pull the music sheet off. She told me to keep going, about half way into my song her husband came in and said there was a tornado touch down right by the church we were at. So we all had to go down to the basement. I was laughing the whole time....

I don't see how I would have held a straight face either! But as a music student, you're always taught to keep going. It would have to happen right in the middle of the performance too! At least you were safe,and no one got hurt. Your playing is very, very good. I enjoyed it....BOTH TIMES!!

@ajmadeux I was out of town during this wicked weekend but when I got back I saw sqaud cars blocking streets off in the Fridley area where the tornado went through, amazenly no houses got major damage but trees sure got it. N Minneapolis got hit very hard. Also at 57th and University in Fridley there was a sqaud there from Maple Grove. Sorry you got indurupted by the storm warings but you did a great job on the piano. Amazing Grace is a pretty song but some ocasions sad.

@HyperFoxTails The United States does NOT use All Clear any more. It is in Alert, or Steady. There is no "All Clear" anymore. This is a tone used by many states when tornado warnings/watches are issued.

This happened to me during MSBOA band festival during the monthly test. We were on stage and the siren wound up. At first I thought someone was playing a wrong note until I heard the sound rotate. The looks on everyone's faces were hilarious.

@namibwa where I live we get a lot of tornado warnings. Most people don't worry about them (I personally am terrified of tornado's) we did eventually go down to the basement but we were only down there for about 5 min
