  • simple science pressed Dave.

  • 01:15 he should have said (in will ferrell's voice) "it's science"

  • takes a true moron to walk around barefoot like that..

  • Does Dave ever impress Cody?

  • Dual brokeback....

  • Cody is a fire/shelter god

  • that is the most impressive thing I've seen as a shelter

  • Say what you want about survival shows, but these dudes are legit.. they both have had outdoor survival courses wayyyyy before this show was ever even thought up. Cody runs a survival course in Arizona for almost 20 years now. Dave has been running one in Dayton Ohio for a long time as well.

  • I won't even have to snuggle with Dave tonight!

  • fuck the guy behind the camera sleeping in hes tent, eating food they brought , lol not badass

  • Brokeback Survival men!

  • cody looks like a viking :)

  • these guys are fags, bear grylls will kill them and make them into a raft or something if he ever crossed these two.

  • @AlfredMohi Bear grylls will drink their urine.

  • @akaten916 Bear would also eat their shit and jack off on their shelter too.

  • @AlfredMohi lol ya right bear grills might stick their dicks up his ass you mean. then drink the jizz for protein.

  • @AlfredMohi youre a fag. Bear Grylls is FAKE, he admitted it on Letterman.

  • @AlfredMohi These guys take things that people would have and uses it to survive. Bear has it all on hand. the only thing he does is Eat anything. IF anything Les Stroud beats all 3 since he goes out solo. No camera crew. Bear shows what to do. These 2 show how to do it. And Les Stroud does both.

  • keep pressing seven and it will keep saying outside

  • @Twolf1o1 wow thats awesome

  • best show ever.. we need more episodes on youtube

  • cody at his wittiest.

  • Cold up there on Brokeback Mountain

  • Longwave Radiation (Infrared in this case) isn't trapped by the plastic. The plastic traps the air (heated by IR radiation). The foil blanket reflects the IR radiation back on the same air for another pass making it even warmer.

  • name of the song at the end?

  • Hey .... I worked on this show .... nice to see it put together.

  • @Thetumbleisfalling Really? what'd you do?

  • @landmine21 I was a PA ... but that's the short answer. It was a complicated shoot.... we were quite busy. It was however a lot of fun and I wished I could have gone to other locations to work with those guys again.

  • cody is the man making the supershelter intellegence plus! Eat your words army man!

  • @whateverujoke almost anywhere. Walmart or target are probably easiest to access

  • that shelter needs to be tested....im looking forward to it

  • listen Bear grylls has some survival skills But he "IS NOT a survival expert"...he is not in the class with Dave or even the legendary AboDude- Cody Lundin....

Man vs wild- u may pick up a few tips here/there but if follow Bear Grylls and his craziness you'll probably end up dead and that's a fact! the only thing going for Grylls is his stunts! tv is all about ratings and Bear knows that....

  • If these dudes are badass what about the guy holding the camera?

  • @huntman125 He's fucking boss.

  • @huntman125 he gets everything he needs, but thats why i like les strout

  • @huntman125 The guy with the camera is freezing his balls off and hates both of them.

  • @huntman125 This is a show, in real life, you'd never do half this stuff. But I always think the same thing, that's why I scoff at Man vs. Wild and loved Survivorman. Man vs Wild, he's jumping out of helicopters, into lakes, leaping over gorges.... Imagine how badass that camera man is! And survivorman, the guy has to haul his OWN cameras around haha

  • @huntman125 they work their asses off for our entertainment

  • @tekknorat Our entertainment? Yea and a million dollars.

  • @huntman125 well the dollar thing is obvious, but tell me, aren't you entertained with this show?

  • @huntman125 He is so badass that if they put his face on camera, he crak it's lense.

  • @huntman125 robots

  • @huntman125 3 bad asses

  • @huntman125 hes dressed with TONS of clothes and a bookbag with a tent and fire starter

  • That was amazing what he was able to produce with such minimal materials. We have to look at our space craft when looking at this shelter the mylar was developed as a lightweight insulation for use in space craft when we look at the construction of space crarft they use many differnt layers each serving a specific task all hightec lightweight. We look back at all the lives lost to exposure and how this minimalists shelter could have saved their lives. Bravo Cody you rose above it brilliant.

  • 2 man 2 styles one condom

  • @TerryMMA85 lol

  • @TerryMMA85 lmao gross

  • @TerryMMA85 lol

  • @TerryMMA85 hahahahaahahah

  • @TerryMMA85 I don't get it?

  • @TheDarklord0211 me either! i think hes disrespecting them! fucken dumb ass motherfucker!

  • @TerryMMA85 I don't think they use a condom.

  • Cody knows his shit when it comes to primitive survival skills thats for sure,

  • @actonbath have you seen the muscles on "earth dude"? He'll could probably snap your neck using just one hand.

  • Awesome shelter, will have to try that out.

  • I love this show I really do. What I like is the contrasting (though no entirely conflicting) styles towards survival in nature. But what's interesting is despite Cody and Dave's different approaches, alot of the basic [for lack of a better word] survival does and don'ts are really the same. Case in point, as soon as they hit the island they both knew they needed shelter and a fire before nightfall hit. Despite diverging views its amazing just how much they are on the same page.

  • Is cody gay?

  • Bush hippie rocks! Both these guys do, just in different ways. And since this kind of show needs a little conflict, Dave's curmudgeony ways keep it interesting.

  • Dave is a Fuckin punk..

  • dave is an asshole...cody is the real deal.

dave needs to lose his ego and modern age bad attitude

  • @5tonyvvvv just wait til the rest of episodes are shown, ur gonna regret sayin that, mr tony tough guy

  • @murphalot13 Dave is a army military trained asshole..ive been to codys school this man can survive any where..with no shoes steel tools nothing!!!!!!...the same way native americans did it..just living off the land..

  • @5tonyvvvv I don't feel there is any need to run Dave Canterbury down, as an outdoorsman and teacher he deserves as much respect as Cody Lundin, his concerns about the lack of shoes etc.are genuine and understandable, and after all this clash of cultural styles is part of what makes the show worth watching.

  • That super shelter concept is absolutely awesome.

I am so f-ing stoked about this show.

  • so looking forward to this show! cody and dave are both experts whom i admire. nothing fake about those two guys! P.S. please cancel man vs wild.

  • That is a nice shelter.

  • i think they hit it off just great together they teach each other stuff and we learn too

  • @caveman69100

Dave has commented on his Facebook about how he considers Cody a brother now. They got along great.

  • Don't discredit Dave and Cody before you see the show. Bear has his skills, but he holds no credibility because his show was staged (just research it). Dave and Cody are experts and have both spent years developing their skills and knowledge. Watch the show and learn.

  • I love it when people are honest about their knowledge, I am learning so much about their characters from so little (small video clips). Can't wait to see how much I learn from this show!

  • Can't wait to see this show! Sounds like the two of them are starting to work together and appreciate the knowledge the other brings to the table in this. Finally, something worth watching on TV! Right on Discovery Channel!

  • Can't wait for the show! Real stuff from prepared guys.

  • Great video can't wait for the show

  • 31 degress outside?? Isnt that really really warm day and theyre saying its winter conditions

70 degrees inside???? theyd be burning to death.

  • @richy448 i think they mean 31 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • @richy448 ...Fahrenheit.. smarty think.

  • @richy448 WE call that the Farinheight scale bright boy. the whole world isn't metric

  • @richy448 temperatures are given in Fahrenheit.

  • Haha hey thats pretty smart.

  • hahaha love dave

  • I kinda want to watch this

  • yay finally more REAL survival shows, not fake ass shows like Bear Grylls

  • @TheReclamation14 LOL do you know what the difference between fake and plotted scenerios are? Its not even like they hide that shit. Christ.

  • @KingR3aper they try.

  • @TheReclamation14 Haha, the funny thing is that if you had watched all the promos you would of seen them repelling down water falls and doing other Bear Grylls stuff.

  • @Vol4 Yeah, I saw that. Admittedly, Bear definitely has some decent skills. The difference, though, is that he always seemed to pick the hardest solution to a problem. I took that as a lesson in "here's what you COULD do if you HAD to (had no other choice)". Dave & Cody, however, approach things from a "choose the lesser of all evils" mindset. In regards to the waterfall, the situation was approached w/a much less "cavalier" approach (more realistic and survivable).

  • Comment removed

  • @Vol4 Yes, rappelling, NOT jumping. I would wager it to be much safer.

  • @xlr8n99 again, if you had watched the promos you would have seen jumping.

  • @Vol4 Yes they did, and if you liston to the announcer, he points out that you face OUT when you do it to avoid getting overcome by the water, and maybe drowing...Bear just goes down, an is constantly getting pummeld buy the downforce.....which is a good way to get blown down, or forced drowned. Ill do it Daves way...Ill live thank you

  • @MrCableguyken ? the waterfalls they do are completely different kind. Try it on one with overhang and more force and you'll change your mind fast. And it is a tv-show, it is staged. Where would you get pro climbing gear in a survival situation (excluding the obvious ofcourse)?. They were most likely told to do it by the crew.

  • @Vol4 The survival situation in the episode you refer to is climbers trying to get of a mountain after loosing some of their gear.

  • Srsly... wats wrong with bear grylls, atleast he's entertaining, these guys can put a horse to sleep with not gun

  • @mlxp nothing wrong, Bear is just .... entertaining, nothing more. These guys are educational.

  • @mlxp Really - you got that opinion from what - a few video clips! Bear is only entertaining because he attempts suicide in very episode. This show will actually teach you something, unlike Man Vs. Wild where he shows you almost the same thing in every episode. Yes Bear, we know you can dive into freezing water, and start a fire with sparks - well done.

  • holy shit, something worth watching

  • take a happy go lucky hippy and an american soldier with a short temper and put em together in a survival situation and what do you get? entertainment for a good hour!

  • wow!

  • i wish i had the discovery channel :(

  • @Herimia

  • @fan518 oh ok

  • not bad....

  • bad ass!
