P.F. & most music from this era = DEEP! The music has meaning, originality, true creativity, spectacular sound, etc. It has messages - pure entertainment, political, connecting with one's subculture, or something else. Most rap or hip hop of today is shitty. It is not what it once was. There are messages in that kind of music as well, but it is NOWHERE near that of Pink Floyd. Besides, most rap is looped tracks, copy cat stuff, remixes, new versions featuring someone, etc.

hip hop "artists" aren't influenced by anyone, FernyBass - they simply turn on a tape machine, maybe rip-off someone else's music, and recite some sophomoric, meaningless rhyming words that mean nothing - to mention hip hop personalities in the same breath as Pink Floyd is downright disgraceful - what you meant to say was "believe it or not hip hop artists have shamelessly stolen Pink Floyd material" - hip hop - kiss my ass

Hip-hop in its very essence is a raw approach to the harsh life of the ones representing the genre and not the candy shops filling the billboards. Listen to real hip-hop (the early 90s period), Wu Tang, Tribe called Quest, 2pac, etc and dont express opinions which have no grounds plz, dont diss if you dont know
