  • This would have been so much better if there wasn't so much playing going on while you were talking. If I had been there I would have objected to the distraction. Very rude of them.

  • @cmhk9 It would be expected that people will strum at a group ukulele lesson. Understanding scale degrees is essential to building chordal harmony. If you would like clear instruction in quietness try musictheorydotnet , a very helpful site for beginners wanting more theory.

    Aloha from Hawaii,

  • C7 is 1 3 5 b7

    but why

    C6 is 1 3 5 6 shouldn't it be 1 3 5 b6

    Thanks for vdo

  • @sukanok An open first string is tuned to an A (6), whereas first string first fret makes it a Bb (b7). Therefore C7 [0001] from low to high is C (1) E (3) G (5) Bb (b7), and C6 [0000] is C (1) E (3) G (5) A (6). Hopefully that makes sense and is the answer you were looking for :)

  • @stewkulele thanks for the answer i wonder if it's C5 how would it be??

  • Well done - simply laid out. Makes things "understandable" - thanks for posting this - it's appreciated!

  • I like teaching as much as the next person, but dang, it was a little rude that they wouldn't stop playing when you were talking. I felt bad :/
