Its not a carrera is, it's a tiptronic S, ... a tip S and carrera S is like day and night. You cannot get a carrera S in 996 model only 997.

eh, the only way the m3 kept up was because of the mods and carrera had the roof down.A M3 e46 can not beat any 996 coupe PERIOD.

Any 996 non TT(except GT3) has the same or slower quarter mile time. Handling thats a little different. Not by much though.

The m3 was modded, and the Porsche was a vert.

My friend who was driving didn't get on it that hard either, and there was a car that was almost about to pull out at one point.
