Not to sound like a nerd or anything but that iPod is actually 2nd gen. I too own a second gen and it's exactly the same as that one. 3rd gen's apps look different then all other iPod's. And 4th gen's apps took after 2nd gen's looks. Sorry, but I just have to correct people when their wrong lol. But thanks for the info

@Jayyluhveee ok when you first open itunes, there is a tab labeled "Help" on the upper left. click on that and under it there should be another tab called "check for updates". download the newest one and then watch this video again and you should be good! hope i helped!

@Jayyluhveee if its by apple its safe, every update for any program is going to ask you the same thing just check if its legit, and click yes. all its going to change is your iTunes, and you probably wont even notice what it changed. and if you don't like what it does then just delete the update after you restore. don't sweat it:)
