@williammelvin i don't think anyone "treated" Olly Reed like anything... the man was a force of nature and did exactly what he wanted to wherever he wanted to.
And yes that is very much my opinion of bill hicks.

@kwisnothere each to their own, but helping oli reed to get drunk so you can laugh at him , instead of interviewing him properly about his acting career does not past as entertaining t.v in my eyes. and bill hicks came 4th in a channel four poll of the 100 greatest stand up of all time, ever. so i belive you are in the minority with your opinion.

@kwisnothere also i dont know if you have seen the full episode but i say "helping" beacause they filled his dressing room with large amounts of alcohol and put a camera in there to encourage and watch him get drunk.
