  • I wish my HS had a wresting team :/

  • Only wrestlers can understand what wrestling go through and what it takes to be GOOD wrestler , wrestling for 3 years now and i listen to this song everyday in practice i fucking love it great video , yur team go's hard , love this sport

  • @kingkid434 Thanks, I appreciate that. When I was wrestling we took second in region and sent 6 guys to state. The first place team in region had held that position for 10 years running.

  • weak push ups..., do less but do PERFECTLY

  • Awesome video man! I never wrestled before but I know the training and dedication it takes to excel in a sport. Respect, keep training hard and don't listen to the insercure uneducated youtube "trolls"

  • @Mr90sdude Agreed, people keep talking about what is or isn't a martial art solely on their own preferences. Martial arts is any method of combat, regardless of origin or style. People don't realize the Chinese, Mongolians, and Indians and parts of Africa have their own version of wrestling, so no reason why Western wrestling or any Western art can't be considered martial arts. It's all training and it all takes discipline and dedication. Forget the haters and remember the goal. Peace.

  • Great Video! Good music and good shots. If this was a high school project, you are going to go far.

  • The trees the mountains the lions the swamps

the benefits of the natural places were we are from

  • this song is pure gold before you hit the mats. fun video

  • Damn these kids do not work out rite HAHAAHA i mean... damn. haha

  • I'm ashamed of you haters! DP's (and everyone,'s hopefully) ultimate goal is equality. Besides all that...This song is about WORKING OUT! Why wouldn't it apply??

  • if you need 3 spotters then you have too much weight on the bar.

  • This song isnt dedicated to wrestlers dumb fuck, It's dedicated to Mixed Martial Artists, like myself this is a disgrace of a video. wrestlers arnt shit

  • @RATEDRHUSTLAS: Brah, some mixed martial artist you are, with that attitude. Dead Prez is motivational to ANYONE who comprehends their message. From this post, I can tell you that you need to listen to their music more. @sleepingsound was able to translate Dead Prez's message to video by showing the work he puts into doing what he loves!

  • emmm..srry coz my ignorance, but US wrestling it's like JUDO?

  • perfect song to go with the video!

  • dope song, dont like wrestling at all but i respect the training that goes into it.

  • Complete video.

  • Very nice video!

  • As a former wrestler I find the song to be right on point when speaking about discipline, honour and respect. Nice mix and use of DP's material.

  • lmao if you are benching and need three people spotting you maybe you should take of like 1 45lb plate on each side and deflate your ego. i mean one spotter is cool and maybe two guys just satnding around incase you burn out and the other guy can't handle it

  • oo yea this song can be applied to any type of training... mad people need to open their minds and shut their mouths. hahahha

  • listen to the words

  • nice video. stay motivated. dont let nobody get you down!

  • I train to this and several other DP tracks... like the addition to the video tho, its BIG!

  • This song is about the spiritual growth associated with Martial Arts - not wrestling.! plain and simple

  • @7bigblock does it matter you can have spiritual growth in anything you sir are wrong

  • luv this vid yeah!!!

  • jeez this guys got it down. this si my life too. battles in my minds bettween weed and beer and women or a state championship. wrestling has to be a way of life or you wont be good. nice video.

  • nice nice.....

  • wrestling? the song is about kung fu.

  • its about karate, kung fu does forms not kata, tkd does patterns

  • @patveela kata = patterns and forms....

  • I thought the vid was fired up, good use of the song.

  • hell ya im a wrestlier from colorado and this is my favortie pump up songs

  • don't listen to the haters.. sick vid, sick song choice, dead prez is the shit.. keep it up lil nukka

  • If ur benching so heavy that you need 3 spotters you need to deflate ur ego ASAP!

    I hate fucking wrestlers!

  • It was for the video idiot, we thought it would be a cool shot. If you hate fucking wrestlers so much then keep your dick in your pants!

  • Nice comeback, but ur still an idiot.

  • If you wanted a comeback you should've checked your lip!

  • @sleepingsound : Bro, don't listen to the ignorant posts! Keep doing what you're doing. Dead Prez is motivational on so many levels. I didn't know what to expect when I first started watching the video, but it's dope! I'm into martial arts and HipHop dance, so Dead Prez is always in my headphones. People may not understand the motivation you have for doing what you love, but continue to do it. Your actions will motivate others!

  • @maleeyang o sorry your not a basket ball player, your the next karate kid lol yeah right

  • love your video!

  • that´s some bad ass push ups!

  • nice video

  • fuck the police, fuck the system

  • It's about JEET KUNE DO, specifically. If you don't believe me, read the Dead Prez Interview where they say that's what they train, and then read up on Wikipedia or anywhere else about what constitutes Jeet Kune Do, and you will clearly see beyond doubt that that's what this song is about.

  • Its more than just Jeet Kune Do... Its Martial Arts as a whole. Specifically traditional Martial arts. (Katas and Forms are in traditional Japanese and Chinese martial arts as well as others) Jeet Kune Do is relatively KATA or FORM-Less, however the song pertains to Jeet Kune do Training too.

  • Oh shiitt ehh. Yo really any martial arts bro. MMA you gotta train hard for it all.

  • great vid to a great song.

  • I'm Just Glad that somebody put it up for anyone to hear. It is the Song I went to youtube looking to find by Dead Prez. I heard it first on Vynyl. My friend Tim(TigerOwLinX=my name for him), is the Salvage whom Brrought me in Tune. Praize your brothers n sisters carrying the Will. Ancestral fullfeelment... Dandy~Lion Sunlit, carried by the Wind~

  • it's about a way of life, the things you do to become the best pushing yourself no matter what to train.

  • Comment removed

  • listen to the song carefully folks, this song is about martial art period, its not about a particular style so please stop debating like stupid politicians!!!! aight!!!!!

  • Are yu people stupid this sonq is about boxinq trust me.!

  • its about all martial arts generally...boxing dont have 'katas & weapons' and all the other shit they talk about

  • Good shit homey. Stay on your game. Stay strong. Stay real to you.

  • Nice video, nice song.

  • excellent song and vid

  • gangsta!

  • ok, this is not karate, but my brother did this in high school. i remember him straining, wanting... i was at all of his meets, he became a MIL Ranger later, so... i remember all he went through, it is different, but just another type of training that demands the best of a person

  • bull, this song is about karate, not wrestling

  • its about a way of life

  • rap is right and video isnt

  • heres how i see it if your not down for the revolution you against it and you shouldnt be listening to dead prez

  • lol you're all crazy this song is about karate, stic man take jeet kune-do which is kung fu, and m-1 who wrote this takes karate. but it can be applied to wrestling too! good video bro's! i'm a wrestler too. stay committed yo more power to ya

  • I guess you gave up? well i'll leave you with this dead prez quote "EVERYWHERE THE WHITE MAN GOES HE BRINGS MISERY ALL THROUGH OUT HISTORY, YOU COULD LOOK IT UP. EVERY THING THEIR BALD HEADS TOCH THE FUCK IT UP."

  • yea i guess what the british did too the irish and scottish doesnt count. or what jews do to palestinians. how about what black people do to each other here and in africa. its not about race its about power and money.

  • Good vid and good song.

  • ok so then you just agreed with my original arguement this song is about revolution not training for a sport cuz at the end of the song it talks about self defense (well in the original version you cut that part out)

  • It shows your ignorance if that's what you believe. What DP is speaking of is revolution against America, but not racism. DP hates what "White America" is and represents, DP hates the "white ideologies" of greed, ignorance, self righteousness, etc. It's not about white/black, it's about a state of mind.

  • @sleepingsound

    WELL SAID!

  • @sleepingsound - no there is a definite racial bent to some of the tracks . I could today name less than an album's worth of tracks by DP that a white man who loves his own would feel okay listening to. This is one of them - (that is if you r tastes include this genre).

2 b honest I like the concept of the vid - i think it could use SOME better footage though.

while I'm at it - i couldnt find the track 'I believe' online anywhere - can someone help me w/ this?

  • @sleepingsound My enemy is not the average white man, it's not the kid down the block or the kids I see on the street; my enemy is the white man I don't see: the people in the white house, the corporate monopoly owners, fake liberal politicians those are my enemies. The generals of the armies that are mostly conservatives those are the real Mother-Fuckers that I need to bring it to, not the poor, broke country-ass soldier that's too stupid to know shit about the way things are set up. - Immortal

  • @Kronic2 wtf, fuck you kkk bitch!

  • @Kronic2 go listen to some kkk songs it will help people know how much more of an waste of life you are

  • @Kronic2 Stupid Prick. Dead Prez is fuck all to do with the KKK and they aint the mirror image of them either you fool.

  • cuz if you listen there not training to play a sport there talkin about training to fight

  • if u knew anything about dead prez then you would know that they're not just training just to train they always talk about revolution and how to prepare for it

  • k idk if you know this but this song is about training 4 revolution against america and dead prez really dont like white people

  • wow, where did you get that this song is about training for revolution against america? that's really stupid of you to think. show me in the lyrics where it implies anything except for 'training'.

  • DP are revolutionary, an yes they always talk about a revolution against the USA. But this song is about self mastery and discipline. Peace.

  • you run like a bitch :)

  • love the vid cuz peace

  • nice video...awesome song

  • You people are fools who say this isnt about wrestling.

This song is about any martial arts, any struggles to overcome, any type of growth.

Wrestling is kung fu just like boxing, kicking, or even playing piano... anything that requires time, energy, and effort is kung fu! Weather you fight like Bruce Lee or Robin Hood its all kung fu... time and energy.

  • damn right.

  • wow this is a great song and I've trained many a day to it but man is it not meant to be representing wrestleing... pff total waste of a tune... depressing and annoying

  • umm the song is about karate but, nice vid

  • still i tight vid tho, nice work

  • why bother bench press that much weight if you have to have THREE spotters?

  • Obviously he can't actually bench 445 lbs. and we did it for that shot. That's our wrestling heavyweight and football star. He's a monster, just not that beastly.

  • so why bother? so it would "look cool"?

  • You have done very well!

I wish you all the best!

  • beast mode

  • Nice video sleepingsound. It got me pumped. Keep training, bro.

  • hmmm these righteous knowledgable cats are takin about sparring in karate and jiujitsu... getting oiled up and wearing once piece leotards and grappling with nubile young boys is a long way from what they speakin on!

  • If that's how you look at it then I suppose so. Wrestling is an intense sport, no oil, no leotards. We train day and night and are dedicated to winning. The discipline followers of karate and jiujitsu have is shared by wrestlers. +1 on Dead Prez being righteous knowledgable cats.

  • The theme of the song is "training." So no, it's not "a long way from what they speakin on." Training for combat in particular, so yes, it relates pretty well.
