No. They are not taped. They are in fact jammed under the metal riser strip at the edge of the playfield. It is absolutely impossible to win one. The only notes that are in fact winnable are the ones rolled up on the playfield. I know.I have worked with these machines for many years & I regard this as a dirty con trick.
