@yesterdaysview there is a little button on the side when u open up the screen it changes it to manual when you press it. Then go through the menu options on recording settings and it will be there =]
Can you tell me which is the highest quality recording i can set this camcorder to of the 4 avchd the ha1920,hg1920,hx1920,he1920 or iframe 960x540p also when i zoom past 37x to 42x using the izoom the imagen gets out off focus it loses resolution i understand that after 37x its digital but panasonic advertise the i zoom 42x as having optical quality im gona post a clip soon so you can see it any tips thanks.
@09camaross427 I have mine set to "HG" setting, at 1080p, I also have my zoom set to stop at 42x. it zooms optical up to 37x then uses hybrid technology to bring you to 42x and still have it at 1080p and clear as ever. If you go beyond 42x, which I do not recommend your video footage will be pixelated and blurry, as you are then in digital zoom when you are beyond 42x ... hope this helps, I love my camera. Just filmed the Nellis Air Show outside of Vegas, check out the 42x zoom footage I got.
I have this Cam it's the best one so far. The only really bad thing for me is the that the Fade function has to be re selected everytime I want to use it . It would be much better if it stayed on until it is deselected. Also the Zoom function is amazing I can zoom in on an airplane on approach to an airport about 5 miles away . and see the aircraft type and hold it in frame while it moves. All this being handheld!
@SheMeShow can you get a copy of the CD from Panasonic or download it? I don't even use mine. I use iMovie to edit my files after I convert the .mts files to .mov files with Aunsoft software. Try and get a copy from Panasonic, if not email me and I can send you a copy of the install CD, I still have mine.
@Lowcountrytrucker Yes, you can plug it in to AC power and record for as long as you want, you'll be limited by the size of your SD card. I use a 16gig card, class 6.
@pakmane17 on second thought, I wish I had another backup, if you are doing a bunch of zooming etc it can get eaten up, so ya another backup that is charged would be handy
Yes,it does not support microphone, thanks;I have bought now Sony HDR-XR160,is with microphone,5.1 surround sound,as far as I have shooted now,in my room, sounds very good..
@FireworkTelevison yes it does appear to film well, it low lighting conditions the film can be more grainy due to the lighting but yes overall I find it does a decent job in darkness, not nearly as well as when you have more light coming in the objective (lens).
@82224561 I don't see mic inputs on my end, not sure you may need to locate it in the owners manual which you can read in .pdf online. my SD80 does not seem to have it
@chlgeuter not sure. you'd have to check the manual. i have flipped through the menus and have not seen that option when fiddling around with the camera
How much is this camera in your country I'm from Egypt and I want to know the price abroad and Thanks

What's the camera you filming with? It's blur and poor focus especially on closeups... Is it the same Panasonic?
upsednieks 6 months ago
@upsednieks , i filmed this with the Flip UtraHD, it was too close to subject camea, thus blurry

Do you know if it can be connected to a computer so you can use the computers memory to constantly record hours of video?

Now does having a SD card with a lot of memory improve the over all quality of the camera ?
Skooburt 7 months ago
@Skooburt I have a class "6" speed card in it that is 16gb, which is 4 hours of video or so, plenty for me

you know if it supports all kinds of SD memory cards? micro sd, SDHC?
