Love the Gradius series, 3 may have been a bit too brutal, but you couldn't help but be dran in by it'c challenge, even if that challenge was at times a bit on the cheap side.
Now that's awesome gameplay right there. The stage 5 boss just gives me fits... it would've been so much easier if it weren't for those stupid friggin' Moai that blew up like balloons when you shot them, and heaven forbid what would happen if you had too many of them at once!
And I hated those stupid regenerating walls on stage 6. So annoying. >:-(

Get real that was evil killing the moai boss like that lol i always had to sit it out until self destruct but i was using ripple and spread bomb.

@METAL1ON I just use F. options to deal with them and spread bombs.
if your wondering the PS2 and PSP ports have F and R options also has Rolling shield And Reduce 2.
