@antonioneill .... you might be right .... i have never been to an MD drumfest but I can say that the magazine itself has sucked for the better part of the last 15 years or so ... still , they were the first and they did a lot to bring the drumming community together and provide young drummers with resources and information that they would not have been able to get ... drummers in small mid western towns for example .. MD was their link to the NYC and LA scenes

@sweetfly66 yeah i know, i try and support MD by buying it, but its so frustrating to see so many AWESOME new drummers and then here, where they really could b displaced to see these average drummers...i just came back from the Branford Marsalis concert, hes got a new drummer, JUSTIN FAULKNER.

Man that guy is really young and KILLIN !!!!!!! Thats the kind of stuff we shloud watch and learn from....anyway....thx and enjoy checking out new awesome drummers ;-)

Same school as Kenny Aronoff, just a little later. Both guys masters of totally different styles of playing than what finally paid the bills.
