  • Smart people designed this, not computers.

  • There has been released in simviationdotcom a new SR-71 Blackbird model for FSX that kick ass!

  • FUCK THE MUSIC

  • the music is too loud

  • "Though I Fly Through the Valley of Death I Shall Fear No Evil: For I am at 80,000 Feet and Climbing."

  • sweet now lets go to war please.

  • I agree with Danbo342. The Blackbird IS one of the most greatest plane in the world, and it will stay in the same group as the x-15 and other revolutionary planes.

  • Why in hell do you put the music this loud?

  • you guys know jetfire is a SR-71

  • @superdude339. The sr-71 cruised in full afterburner at mach 3.2 so you might wanna amend what you said, it shows you have no idea what you're talking about

  • plane

  • HA Bissell and Dulles are traitors of the worst kind. Dulles fired by JFK for carrying out the failed BOP invasion against orders. Both involved in JFKs murder! Disgusting. Both worked for Cardinal Spellman and the Jesuits.

  • How on earth they create this thecnolgy

  • @sameh777 probably ancient alien technology

  • Thumbs up if you think giving thumbs up to requested thumbs up is gay.

  • They called it aliem technology! That's were our American engieers learned to build it from, Aliens. And not the ones from Mexico!

Leaked fuel on the tarmac, the first ones took two carts with twin oldmobile v8 engines to spin the turbines up to speed to start, then took another hour before they had the power to move the plane. They carried no weapons only a few million dollar cameras and to this day top speed is still classified as top secret. Around the world in 30 minutes.....

  • @melhem79 I disagree, there only a handful of aircraft that are the best:

    •Blackbird SR-71

    •Spitfire

    •BF109

    •Concorde

    •Eurofighter

    •Typhoon

    The list is endless

  • @Superdude339 you forgot one more the P-51 Mustang with the Merlin 12cyl engine. Or the F-15 that was able to fly with only one wing after a training exercise. Look it up you will see it that the F-1f with the Israeli Air Force was flown by a pilot who did not even realise he had lost a wing . The Eurofighter has nothing on the F-22. Tried to post the link but just type it in pretty amazing...

  • @Superdude339 ef and typhoon not the same? what about b2 and gr-1b

  • I like this plane, but it could only achieve super sonic speeds for a few seconds Concorde was the really the first plane to travel super sonic speeds for a hole flight.

  • @Superdude339 Mach 3.0 was its normal "cruise" speed. It had to maintain these speeds when on surveillance ops so it would avoid being shot down by a missile.

  • @Superdude339 The SR-71 did not achieve supersonic flight "for a few seconds", rather it CRUISED in full afterburner and spent the majority of flight time in supersonic flight. Check your facts superdude.

  • @Superdude339 Superdude, you failed. If it would have achieved the supersonic speed for few seconds only, all above average missiles/cannons would have shot it down many times. so it would be no use to build an expensive plane and then send it on a suicide mission.

  • thumbs up if ur watching this all because of cod black ops hahaha

  • @zmztothegame Nah mate... Shame on you if you didn't know about this beast before black ops, tisk tisk tisk *im shaking my head right now*

  • scratch the paint with a b-2 stand, get an article 15...

  • cant hear a fucking thing!!!!!

  • I was stationed on Okinawa during 1970-71 and watched the Habu land several times, usually on Sunday afternoons. It would make a pass over the run way at Kadena Air Base, fly back around, land and go into an underground hanger. Little did I realize what I was really watching. I am sad that the Habu is no longer in service to the United States. It's a marvel of aviation for today let alone 50 years ago when it was first thought of and developed. God bless the USA!!

  • Surprisingly the SR71 is still being used by XMEN crew. Maybe thats why were all there cuz were XMEN fans.

  • i learnt this from a book, where all teenagers like me should.............. not cod

  • Indeed it was the best aircraft ever built

  • Why not just COMPLETELY dub over the ducumentory with early 80's TV show theme music??

  • Wasn't this plane made in Area 51?

  • @phanable1

Yup. Started with the A-12 Oxcart.

That and the salvaged "alien" MiG-21 laid the foundation for many future alien-myths about Area-51.

  • the music is too loud.

    what?

    the music is too loud!!

    i cant understand you....

    THE MUSIC IS TOO LOUD!!!!

  • cant hear the man say shit!, useless ass song.

  • Music is so useless in those videos.

  • at 4:00....screw the landing, he's going on another rampage!

  • they had this technology in 65, there is no telling what they have now. crap my truck has onstar, pretty much what this plane has. they say they have nothing, which we all know is crap, even the president, in his all knowing glory (laugh) dosent know.

  • And then Lockheed built the C5.. aha.

  • Back then Nasa sent man to the moon with only 654kbs now terabtyes of data avalible all we can do is lolcats

  • U.S likes to retire it's highly advanced technology, this jet would've still been perfectly been active, but no, they had to retire it and they stiill havent made a jet too replace it. Same thing as the space shuttle, we could have still been using it, but they decided to retire it...

  • @cvunit The USAF retired the blackbird due to high cost of sustainability. It outweighed the benefits apparently. Simple economics.

  • @cvunit The SR-71 was made obsolete by spy sattllites as it's mission was for spying during the cold war. Think about it: What can the SR-71 do that a sattelite can't do non-stop for years, unmanned. Still, it's a hell of a plane that set records unmatched to this day. Who wouldn't want to fly in it just once?

  • @astrofrk Well for one it can provide real time information rather than just a snapshot, and it can easily and quickly relocate. I do agree that satellites are useful but i don't think it made them obsolete considering the last flight was in 1999.

  • I knew about the blackbirds years ago, I remember building a 1:144 scale model of it. I could imagine a fighter this plane if it survived to this day would have laser weaponry instead of normal AA because it travels as fast as those AA missles!!

  • anyone else looking at this because of cod black ops

  • i want one to spy on my girlfriend

  • Black ops 4 ever

  • I hate when I see people write "thumbs up if you agree" crap. Not so much that they write it, but that people actually give it to them, gay.

Great aircraft btw. No matter what comes in the future, this bird was way ahead of its time and will forever have a place in aviation history.

  • @Danbo342 Thumbs up you agree with his post

  • so this means that they are flying for 52 years in a unfinished airplane?

  • This plane was far ahead of it's time.

  • f...ing music ruined the video

  • so this was 52 years ago? Ok, now i am CERTAIN they reverse engineered a UFO and that they can likely do 10000 miles an hour in some top secret anti gravity stuff today. SERIOUSLY!!! 1959????? imagine the stuff they have hidden in area 51!

  • wow crappy mix, fire the engineer

  • Amazing video. Wonder when it was first made.

  • I wish they make a commercial version XD

  • @krammy11 NY to London in less than 10 minuets!

  • I cant believe these things were designed in the late 1950's !

  • Dear Santa...

  • our SR-71 is in the air...

  • A splendid plane. The first was in 1965? LoL. Is it still active? t-il flight still this plane? I'm French.

  • @Rachel8071

No, They've been taken out of service in 1998. Greeting from Holland

  • @beertjerockpiloot

    Ok. Thanks. Kiss.

  • Comment removed

  • wow and its only a 8 killstreak lol

  • OKAY THEY MADE THIS IN THE 1965 THINK WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE IF THEY MADE A BETTER ONE TODAY

  • The user's manual is believed to have been written by thousands of unnamed specialists, each of them wrote only one word so the whole text would remain secret.

  • @krbosak stop smoking dope

  • SR71, Harrier and the F14... Three of the best planes ever built that were decomissioned! :/

  • 5:19 come on at least have a Ferrari lead the SR-71 whats up with the crappy police car lol

  • The stupid music is too loud. Lol

  • wonder wat the stealth replacement will be like :) ive heard of aurora based off the 23 stealth

  • all of you that searched youtube for SR 71 Blackbird because of CoD Black Ops...find the nearest railway, wait for a train to come and jump before of it...how can people be so uneduated and not know of this awesome machine before hearing about it in a video game...JIZZ people, get a life, get into some research, stop using internet JUST FOR porn!

  • R.I.P. Clarence "Kelly" Johnson and Ben R. Rich

  • music is way too loud

  • Always was wondered how USA got kick in technologic after WW2 and taking Nazis scientist. 3 reich was like 20 years before others in science. Love this plane anyway, its leaking on the ground and was refuealing in air when leaks was gone. Quite unique machine.

  • @ekovzy You are absolutely correct. At least twenty years ahead of their time. The V2 rocket program, nuclear fission, genetics, vacuum suits for space travel, the first operational jet aircraft. Google 'Operation Paperclip.'

  • Life is bigger than some little video game that saps your time health and downloads your energy into producing "unlocks". I'm an old school gamer, I love games but still one hour of gaming max, and only after hard exercise. the rest of what there is to experience in life is just too wonderful.

  • Please stop with the Black Ops comments, your making the plane look bad, and yourself for being uneducated about it before the game.

  • If they we had this in 1965 what do we have now? and no not just sats.

  • Comment removed

  • @virdi1992 Dislike because I knew about this great aircraft long before black ops.

  • @TheGoldSlime why did you dislike it then?

  • These things were designed and engineered with slide rules!

  • Hey Russia, you top this plane; then you can shoot your mouth off!!

  • pretty crazy to think this was made so long ago... gotta wonder whats flying outa groom lake now

  • @87sprintqf Nothing, planes like these have been replaced by satellites... no point in spending billions developing something that will always come second best to the unmanned box in the sky

  • @hbiggs96 that is not right my friend, the U2 Spy Plane is a plane used in the cold war, and it has been used since then for reconnaissance, no satellite has replaced it, because the plane has the ability to direct flights to objectives at short notice, which satellites cannot do.

If there is a replace for this plane is the UAV GlobalHawk.

  • If I was a plane, I would love to be a part of this family of aircraft.

  • Man, I remember when this had less than 20,000 views, that was before black ops came out. I hade cod fans that only know about great old machines like this from video games -_-

  • Wow

  • i swear dont you hate it when dumb music is playing and you cant hear a single thing that the man is saying? thumbs up if agree

  • @mattcrack44 thumb up your mums ass

  • @6anatolyy4 fuck you

  • @mattcrack44 "bwa bwa bwaaa bwaaaaaaa (ting) (ting) bwaaa waaaaw"

  • @mattcrack44 Personally, I like the music. I only had difficulty hearing the voice over once or twice. Then again, I'm listening to this using fairly high-quality ($200+) in-ear earphones. I think the music sets the proper mood for this awesome machine.

  • @mattcrack44: I just logged in only to say exactly that! That monotonous music, louder than the speaker's voice, sucks like hell!

  • and this was back in the 60's

  • faster than a bullet and three times faster than sound........DAMN

  • The music drowns out the narrative

  • Osama got shot on the first of May...

  • people nowadays has no sense of humor and are too racial not racist... get what I'm trying to say. Or just plain ignorant.

  • where in the heck does this plane hold the amount of fuel needed to go that fast ???

  • @draleighd Everywhere you can. Typically aircraft hold fuel in the wings as well as parts of the fuselage. At cruise speed of Mach 3.2 the engines are at peak efficiency where the air is so hot that little fuel can be added in the combustion chamber without melting the turbine blades behind it. That being said the range of the plane is only 3600 mi giving about 1.5hrs of operation before needing to be refueled. God I Love this plane.

  • this is'nt game losers

  • Your background 'misak' level so high, the script is unintelligible .. crap.

  • WOW, thanks for the upload! Great Docu.

  • Music is too loud boy ;D

  • The SR-71 Blackbird: the greatest aircraft ever built.

  • @braddyboy82 you are saying that because you dont know any other aircraft....

  • @braddyboy82 so far

  • @braddyboy82 yeah, unless all the fuel dripped out of it...

  • @braddyboy82 you are saying that because you play "Call of duty: Black ops"

  • How many mach does this plane go?

  • @LA55A51N0 3

  • @LA55A51N0 3.2

  • @LA55A51N0 Mach 3.3 is the top speed

  • @JADYONAS yea black ops pissed me off with how they made so many things in the game so unreal that kids start freaking out about them.

  • @Anintendofan99 Haha sorry if that offended you my bad i actually do study war though

  • AWWW SHIT america got an 8 kill streak

  • @722egc bro get your head out of your ass it's not call of duty

  • @ir287562 i know why so defensive ?

  • @ir287562 haha Cant take a joke ?

  • @722egc Dude really...

  • @beroth1 Lmao I find it to be genius XD

  • coltsfan4lyfe The one @ Wright Pat is the only one I knew where it is off the top of my head. Where in Bloomington is that one? I'm only about an hour from there. I saw one from a distance years ago in South Dakota

  • In dry air at 20 °C (68 °F), the speed of sound is 768 MPH +or-

  • What is 1070 mph in Mach?

  • to xekul, If you don't believe the SR 71 is real go to the Air force Museum at Dayton Ohio & see for yourself.

    You can't cure stupid

  • @ThePhantomII All of them still in existence are at various museums around the country except for 1. That one is in England. I saw the one at Hill AFB north of Salt Lake City and I just about creamed my jeans when I seen it. Now I guess it's time to see the two closest to me, Dayton OH and Bloomington IL, plus whoever is in question here...just watch the 2nd Transformers movie, Jetfire is an SR71.

  • 美国是世界警察-自封

    美国是超级大国 -自封的,美国是最富有的-自封的,

    (欠中国的钱),从美国娘- 也可能是自我任命

=FUCK USA bunch of lying rats

  • @USCUNTSareOWNEDbyCHN No there not your just jealous you didnt make this like you make everything else thats completly shit

  • Baddest bird in the sky bitches!

  • I see there are a lot of haters on here. This plane is very much real. Kelly Johnson would be my great great uncle and a genious. My father who is also a very knowledgable man knows just about everything there is to know about this plane and a great deal about every plane ever designed by kelly. Since I was a little girl I have been told many stories about kelly and his work. Believe what you want but the documentation on this plane is very much real and accurate.

  • They forgot to mention that the SR-71 is also a Decepticon

  • I've noticed there are no cockpit videos of the SR-71 in flight. This is a drag, as it would be damned cool to see how fast it appears to be going at speed and altitude. At top speed, these things flew almost 40 miles a minute; I'd like to see how that looks from the cockpit...

  • bloody-hell planes like the b-2 spirit and sr-71 blackbird were made in the 1960's and were announced in the late 1970's (i think) and think how they kept those planes secret from us for such a long time... makes me think what they are building right now.

  • @digimanga No. Like the narrator stated in the video, the SR-71 was announced publicly in 1964. The B-2 Spirit was first flown in 1989 and announced in 1997. Where are you getting your information? They are building lots of unmanned aircraft at this time. Small, fast, and deadly, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of what they have to offer...

  • @beeroosterm sry, my memory of these planes are a bit sketchy.. but ur rightscary new planes coming out that havent been announced

  • The audio is TERRIBLE! I can barely hear the narrator over the music. :-(

  • 3331.34 km/h

  • Still not even half as impressive as the 'Arrow' the Canadians invented.

  • @h5y ..Forgive me , but I can'nt seem to find the Arrow in any of the record books???what exactly is the Arrow's claim to aviation fame?? Thanks for your help...

  • My dad got to pilot that plane in 1980

  • @sexybeast619619619 No, your father never flew this plane. How do I know? SR-71 pilots don't raise children with account names of "sexybeast619"

  • @hunterhalo2 you statement is false and you have no evidence to backup you claim. My username is AviatorF16Falcon anything else you wanna say?

  • like this if you knew about the sr-71 before black ops

  • @bballhero2 i know of the plane. but never heard of black ops... amidoinitrite?

its somthing with call of duty i guess

  • @Evilfisher yes its something in black ops, and the thing that bothers me is that kids who play black ops think they know things about military equipment just by playing a video game. Its stupid.

  • I knew of this aircraft, but I forgot the name of it.. So I cant thumb up.

  • @bballhero2 What's black ops? LOL

  • @coltsfan4lyfe a video game that people obsess over

  • @bballhero2 LOL, I know that, I just don't get in to it at all, if I'm playing video games, it's Madden or Mortal Kombat.

  • @coltsfan4lyfe oh i see what you mean. Yea i'm not like that either hahaha.

  • @bballhero2 I know sr-71 and wtf is black ops? lol

  • @yOkheed it's a game called "Call of Duty Black Ops" if you really don't know about it. The game allows you to use a sr-71.

  • @bballhero2

I'm fairly certain I've known about this bird before I was 10...I'm well over 20 :D

  • @bballhero2 i did bc my bro is a commander and let me sit in one it was so amazing :DDD

  • "Enemy SR-71 above!!!"

  • @cashman2115 shut up

  • @elvendoom69 eat a dick u fuckin loser!!!

  • So in Black ops, I kill 8 terrorists to get this. So, If I kill Osama Bin Ladin, do I get to fly one two?

  • Esse avião ainda é o mais rápido do mundo?

  • @1234oliveira5678 sim, tem o recorde desde 1976

  • as far as I know these arent flying anymore, because theyre leaking as hell

  • I still don't truly believe this is retired.

  • @La504wolf

Didn't call it a spyplane for nothing hahaha, I don't think they're retired either because we can't rely that much on satellites. They have to be flying in the middle east.

  • 0.26 had no idea it was so small.

  • this looks so bad ass

  • only 12 built......all tatanim skin.....no armament...not very impresive

  • @alvaradokids You don't know enought about it to not be impressed.Read and learn about it first.THEN comment.

  • @UserNamei5 actually light would circumnavigate the globe ca 7.5 times in 1second.

circumference of planet earth is 40076km.

speed of light is ca 300000km pr sec.
