So by y'all standards none are points, but a hooper is a hooper. Derrick is able to play like a scoring guard cause the scheme centers around what he can do. He can pass the rock but when he's able to finish over your center, get the foul and bucket. Point blank. And Rondo, CP3, and Steve not large enough to just go over you.
@citiwide318 derrick is probably the best at finising around the rim than any point guard. but you can't say that he does the point guard responsibilities better such as passing, playmaking, assists to turnover ratio, etc. he still has a ways to go in those categories imo.

rose & russ may be getting 7-8 assists a game, but if you actually watch them in depth they aren't elite passers or creators for their teams.
D-will and cp3 were screwed with sucky team mates and helped their teams do well in a very tough western conference playoffs.
Unless rose & russ can show that they consistently make their team better, they shouldn't be in the conversation as best pg.
People just think they're better cuz fans like 2 see scoring more than passing.

He coached the Jazz for 23 years and if you think even for a second that Deron had more pull with Jazz management than Sloan did, you're retarded. Deron's an amazing player, but come on. It was Jerry effing Sloan. Deron's contract with the Jazz is up next year, so if Deron didn't like Sloan and Jerry wanted to stay, he would have, and Deron would have left Utah next year. Jerry decided to step down. Deron didn't do jack.

@illricky. D Will is just better at scoring points. But you don't understand that CP3 barely takes any shots during his games. His job is to set up plays for his teammates. When it comes to being a team leader, CP3 is the best at it. D Will doesn't have that amazing court vision like CP3 does, however D Will can rack up points much better. And that's that.
