Our baby girl died in 1989. She was 2 and a half months old. (Born at 27 weeks). Two weeks after she died, I heard this song on the radio. It touched me so much! I called the radio station and asked them to play this song, in memory of our baby. She would be 21 years old next week. This song still makes me cry. I know she's in heaven, waiting on me to get there. I know that this is not what this song meant, but, for me, it came at a very hard time in my life, and helped me to deal with my grief.

@trixieinkc I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! It was hard losing our baby, but I can only imagine how difficult it would be to lose a 4 year old daughter! I have been a preschool teacher for 3 and 4 year olds for the past 30+ years. Can I ask how she died? The hardest years(besides the first year) was when she would have started kindergarten, 16, graduation, and 21. It does get a little easier as the years go by. We have a small artificial tree I decorate year round, in her memory. email me!

I called the radio station,barely able to get the request out for this song, through all the tears. I'm tearing up now, just writing this, listening to the song. I recorded it on cassette, and played it over and over. Next week would have been her 21st birthday. We miss you Amber, and will always love you!
