Yo, thanks man that site is very dangerous.Somebody could be on the witness protection program from a crazy lover or etc.. & the crazy person or somebody in their family could instantly find them.I think sites like this should be shut down man. here is a link to lots of sites like that h t t p : // mashable.com/ 2007/10/23/social-networking-god/
TRAP WARNING: People are spreading a post about removing your info from Spokeo. But it may be a trap: They MAKE you give them your email, and then confirm it. . Associating your email with your info creates a valuable commodity, which they can re-sell to spammers. Snopes is suspicious this is their real business. snopes.com/computer/internet/spokeo.asp
@kevynjacobs I don't use my real Email address for things like this anyway. A good practice is to have a "junk" address you never check and use that. In some cases I also use aliases that way if I ever do receive any email to that alias I know the source such as spokeoptout dot domain dot com.
Good to mention this Kevyn, important point. Thanks for the comment!
Great info Joe! Thanks for letting us know and showing us how to do it. Followed your directions in the YouTube and had no problem deleting the Spokeo profile that was on their web site. Sometimes it's good to take off the internet info you don't want on in when you can.
@TFPFP Thanks for the comment, I am glad that it worked for you and I couldn't agree more. At least removing the information where it is easy to do so will keep the honest people honest so to speak.
Thanks!
