  • I'm just loving it...

  • I had the privelage to see him in person/concert at the FORUM, Inglewood, California.....around 1974.....the day they had the SLA (Symbionese Liberation Army) had a shootout with the LAPD and the house was burning down.....we were driving on the Santa Monica Fwy to the concert and all I can remember was fuck, I better not miss this concert. I didn't, thank GOD. Miss him...RIP peaceful man. You left soooooo much music that tells a story and gives love!

  • Great voice, elegant singer , one of the best !

  • Now I know that Marv is going to throw that hat! He teased them long enough!!!

  • THIS IS SUCH A GREAT SONG!!! GREAT LYRICS!!!

  • 6 people are really... ignorant!

  • To try to keep the peace blacks fighting blacks and hispanics fighting hispanics and blacks and hispanics fighting ea other.. From there on i started listening to MR. Marvin Gaye on the regular. Very very peaceful soothing and calming. Much love and respect to him and the lady that introduce me to it.

  • I mean listen to this music we need to have a speaker in every city of the world and play it 3 times a day if not more to mellow the war on ourselves and whats going on in our lives among ourselves.. This is PEACE MUSIC!!! Im a 31 year old hispanic that grew up in the 80's in a minority city Vero Beach Florida noting but blacks and hispanics were fights and shooting was like a daily thing. This one lady would that lived there on the block would put a speaker on her porch and play this song

  • I didnt know Marvin was in team Zissou

  • 6 people don't know what's going on...

  • これは良い!!

  • The only thing that distracts me from the great man and that awesome voice, are those damn shoes! What was! going on then, Marvin?

  • @TheSolaris810 This comment cracked me up!

  • Badass Marvin!!

  • Love his shoes!

  • Great!!!

  • This was live at the Oakland Coliseum.....but was it the arena or stadium?

  • Wow... I have never heard him struggle so hard. What's Going On is my religion, but this was not Marvin's finest hour.

  • @mountpanic Earlier in the concert he explained to the audience that he had a throat problem but didn't want to cancel the show. There was a lot of anticipation because he had stopped touring after Tammi Terrell died. He did a few shows in 72 but this was his first tour in a while. The love people had for Marvin, especially in the black community. He was more than a great singer. He was like family. After 'What's goin on?' he came to represent a musical prophet. And after that, a love guru.

  • sounds like J.J @ siebevanegmond

  • great, the bassman must be James Jamerson

  • @siebevanegmond I don't know if James went on the road with him in 74.

  • One of the most inspirational songs he sang , its a good song.Marvin was right, What is going on?

  • The 5 people that disliked this must dont like his shoes!

  • Its a kinf of universal music. Its live forerver. Marvin lives in our hearts.

  • The music world lost one of it's greatest when he was taken way to soon...

  • marvin had some tight security. long coats hiding machetes and ak47s.

  • That's MARVIN GAYE / ORIGINAL, UNIQUE, CLASSIC, ONE OF A KIND. MARVIN could always touch us because he was CEREBRAL & INTROSPECTIVE / SENSITIVE & SEXY / straightforward & down to earth /

  • 2:04..WTF..?? two pimps??

  • i want those backup singers

  • 'No review, hope he really didn't provoke his father to shoot him.....but maybe Marvin had a big mouth and disrespected his parents......let's just pray it was a bad press release......to steal another great artist from our midst ( jimi hendrix).....I personally would rise from my grave and scare the hell out of the people in the Music Industry who tried to steal my talents, my life, those free loaders will surely go to Hell..........traveling on God's speed I saw it live in meditation,,....

  • Gifted beyond his years.truly a genious.R.I.P. love you marvin.
