Napalm was a horrible weapon, I can't believe we used it. I thank god that it is no longer in use in the US Military. Vietnam was the worst war and longest. 1955-1975 19 years 180 days long.
Did we really lose that war? Vietnam is now a diplomatic relation for America and we sell products and services there. You can book a vacation there now. Do we ever really win or lose a war? you're right, the vc didnt come to the table. at that point they were so insignificant and disorganized that they were rather disregarded.
it was the NVA that came to the negotiating table, becuase after hundreds of thousands of dead and many more other casualties, they were desparate.

that is why they grudgingly came to the negotiating table. THEY are the ones begging for a cease in hostilities. because they knew they COULD NOT win while the americans were there.

@CheungMikey i'm sorry this is incorrect, the US military did not lose ONE military engagement with the NVA. the NVA COULD NOT compete with the US military. the only reason why the french lost at dien bien phu was because they pretty much handed it to the NVA every step of the way and even then the NVA casualties were off the charts
i never suggested that it was the plan for them to win so I dont know why you put that in quotes. but the fact is they DIDNT beat the US.

@Guitcad hahaha clever we had completely destroyed the vietcong's ability to engage in terrorism, the NVA was contained to the North, COMPLETELY unable to engage in significan open combat. after Tet the enemy could no longer wage war with the US, they sued for peace, we gave it to em, we left, and when we did the cowards knew there wouldn't be much of a fight with south vietnam... let the slaughter begin. makes ya wonder how many villagers who had resisted the enemy during tet were slaughtered

Napalm was a horrible weapon, I can't believe we used it. I thank god that it is no longer in use in the US Military. Vietnam was the worst war and longest. 1955-1975 19 years 180 days long.

Did we really lose that war? Vietnam is now a diplomatic relation for America and we sell products and services there. You can book a vacation there now. Do we ever really win or lose a war? Yes, thousands, sometimes millions of people die. But to the big money people that run the world is there ever a losing situation? Hell No! It's all a part of their checkers game. Study war for the last 200 years and see how many of the antagonists now do business together.
