As has been said already, try and smooth the chord transitions.
Also, try not to hang your thumb over the guitar neck too much. It's okay to do that kind of stuff with easy-to-play songs but, it's a bad habbit to develope if you're playing demanding stuff like this.
Really ? No kidding ! Maybe You can offer a free lesson in Lerning Basic Harmony Skills. How many videos have You uploaded here on Youtube channel ? How many? None ? How come ?
That is skill right there. Allan Holdsworth wrote some incredibly complex stuff and yet you managed to take one of his songs and do it justice, so kudos to you, good sir.
That's pretty cool! Some of your voicings are a little bit off, but then again, it IS Holdsworth and getting the correct voicings are an education in themself! That's really good stuff there. Nice job.
For your age, You do have a big mouth and probably yet nothing in your head. But, there is allways hope for you. And maybe, I sayed maybe, there is a hope for you.
@Tezztoy Please, never comment on an allan holdsworth related video again. You obviosly know nothing of him or his playing style. It is beyond what most shredders could do, AND, how can say he should not "shred" just because he doesn't "understand the concepts of shred" (what does that even mean). He can solo however he wants.
I know that playing any Holdsworth is absurdly difficult, but my one bit of constructive criticism would be to try and smooth out the transitions between the chords at the beginning.
i enjoyed what you played there alex..credit where its due.. i've met AH, nice guy, long fingers = gr8 legato. also john etheridge of soft machine fame is a friend of mine, another gr8 player but alan is the master..ur ok bro..
Hello and congratulations for really nice play you have delivered here. Reactions about the chords are surprisingly and in my opinion a bit over-reacted. I share your idea about intervals : triads instead of 4 note chords where they fit best.
Nice dude. Hard to rip on anyone who is trying to do Holdsworth justice.. I think the only thing I would change is the tone which sounds very harsh and shreddish. Beyond that I think your playing is very admirable, and I like the idea that you tried to do your own thing and not mimic Allan.. Maybe you should invest in a THD Univalve or something. You can dial that amp pretty Holdsworthesque. But there are plenty of options.
And thank U very much 4 your advice regarding gear. I'm not satisfied with my current sound. It's the Charvels pickups who sounds very metalic. I use combo Rocktron Replitone 112 for solo and old Fender Champ combo for clean sound through Boss GT-3.
This version is a bit different from the original version. There are also some passages where I played triadic voicing instead of 4note chord voicing. Here, the keyboard covers 4 note chord voicing.
Pretty good, only two problems:
As has been said already, try and smooth the chord transitions.
Also, try not to hang your thumb over the guitar neck too much. It's okay to do that kind of stuff with easy-to-play songs but, it's a bad habbit to develope if you're playing demanding stuff like this.

Please never try to solo ever again in your life. I don't think you understand the concepts of shred.

i think your approach of triadic voicings is ok becuase it is very diffucult to play holdworth voicings with 4 note chords.
I thought the improvisation was a bit to shred like and the tone was very harsh which was a unique approach but didn't really mix to well.
your Charvel is very nice shawn lane had a he used in an extremely similar model in thereally early 90's except his was a flamed maple orange.
nice cover but your improviational aproach is too quantity of notes over persay melody.
