i don't think Michael Kors should be judging Project Runway. Most of this stuff, you aren't gonna see on the streets and yet he critisizes the designers for the sillouettes and outrageousness of their clothing like "wow, is that a disco pumpkin?" or " We've already seen THIS sillouette a bunch of times. It's boring. Make more curves."

Cowl neck with most of the sleeve cut-off and in neon orange is contemporary. That was the hallmark of this collection - getting classics and putting a twist on them to make them fresh. Hence the name, "Neo-classics."

Have you heard Kors talk about this collection in relation to the recession? At this price point, he says it's not about lowering the luxury, but about buying what's going to last and what's still going to be special. It isn't about buying a trendy piece and wearing it once, but about a piece that's a new take on a classic and wearing it countless times, season after season because it continues to work - practicality. Hence all the black, all the "work clothes," twist on classics, etc...

Luxury market is NOT meant to attract mass market. Michael Kors and many designers on his level do not design for the average person. They design with a specific customer in mind. If he and others wanted to attract a mass market, then they would create a middle price point line. But since they are not interested in that, quit complaining.

Michael Kors has Michael by Michael Kors which is aimed at customers that cant afford that 3200 dollar coat. Michael by Micahel kors is chaeper by alot... a sheath for 150!! and the luxury factor is there, plus it lasts sooo long without looking old, or worn out.
