I remember working in the downtown area and I always walked across the street to buy a whopper during my lunch break for a homeless person everyday..I wish I could've done more..it's just sad. In the 1990's word was going around that a psychiatric hospital was over crowded and so they had to release some patients but they had nowhere to go so they became homeless..and that was the reason for so many homeless people in Palo Alto at that time. Who knows how true that rumor was.
I hope you are not a Stanford student because you cannot spell homelessness.
