@Krashkopf really cause when you actually read history... the book makes no sense at all... especially since the amount of distortion is so big that there probably isn't a single page in that book that distorts the truth...
read: "the klein doctrine: the rise and disaster of polemics" and EVERYONE SHOULD! just so they could be cured from this klein nonsense...
In Norway 3 supposed terrorists were arrested last week. Police has been following them for a year, without taking any action til now. If they were so sure that they were committed to terrorism, why didn't they arrest them before now? Now I fear that Norway is staging a mini 9/11 so they can instate laws that would rob us of what little freedom we have. Norway being a small country is already under massive surveillance, and its bound to get worse now. Artificial crisis = stealing civil liberties
This bitch is a TOTAL LIAR! It is completely laughable the absurd polemics that spew out of her tiny economically ILLITERATE mind! Milton Friedman does not say or approve of the things, through her crazy propaganda she attributes to him. UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!

thank you. though i do believe you have missed the message of the film, you still respected the right to freedom of expression. i do urge to read the book The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein. it is a bit sensationalist at times, but with personal research alongside anyone can realise the truth of what Klein is trying to say.
I suppose that socialist societies have fared far better than capitalist one's and have given their people so much more freedom? Does Naomi Klein actually have an alternative to capitalism to implement that works better? I seriously wonder whether she read Capitalism and Freedom by Milton Freidman. If she did she is being dishonest about the point Minton Freidman tries to make. He, if anyone, is unsupportive of a strong government and wants people to have the most freedom possible.

Naomi Klein, I believe intentional misrepresented Friedman's position. She can't be that naive or ignorant or unable to comprehend his writings to arrive at the conclusion she did. The question is, what is her motive for misrepresenting Milton Friedman?
Capitalism is one facet of complex social processes. It is not an ideology. Every society has some monopolies and some areas where cooperative action is more efficient. Only the brainwashed seem to think it is a good idea to enforce one type of economic behavior. These same people feel it is clever to elect public office holders who refuse to perform their duties and failing that, elect office holders who cannot perform them. It's time to recognize the bankruptcy of bumpersticker idealogues.
The book does not contest the fact that Milton Friedman wanted a smaller government and a freer population. However, this is such a thing as too much freedom - it's called anarchy. Without a moderately sized government to protect human beings from one another, they will step on each other in order to claim the best for themselves.
And if you want a good example of a socialist (not Communist) society, look at Europe. Germans, for instance, have housing listed as a right, not a privilege.
Ron Paul puts America first...Americans are also the most charitable people on this planet (we give where monopolies take). The WTO, UN, IMF, NAFTA, CAFTA, Federal Reserve, Corporate Monopolies are the REAL poison on this planet.

If Ron Paul is such a libertarian why does he vote for pork barrel funding bills such as funding to study the sex life of shrimp for universities in his own district. Its hard for me to believe that studies for the sex life of shrimp are the role of government.
I'm against the IRS and the income tax, but I try to get every deduction possible when I file my tax. Likewise, there is nothing wrong with getting money back from the federal gov't (if you want to larger share of your income to the gov't, please I won't stop you, do it now).
Ron Paul believes in liberty, not torture. Ron Paul supports the idea that individuals have rights and should be free, that included freedom from any group that would strip them of life, liberty, or their pursuit of happiness. It is the neo-cons who are distorted and twisted the idea of a "free market" into a globalism that favors corporations and the rich.

What makes you believe Ron Paul's rhetorical flourishes of liberty, freedom and democracy and not believe the bushes or clintons of the world
