Russian Circles...I don't even know how to explain you. I just don't. It can't be described in words. Only thing that compares is as people have said is listening to Carl Sagan. I don't even know how to explain it. He gave us so much, made us think on how we really are...these two things...I don't know. Thank you...only words that come to mind.
i listen to this while i drive in the morning, and no matter how bad i feel, when i listen to this, somehow it washes away my anger.. thank you for this masterpiece..
@thepappytube I know what you mean but I think Corgan's voice varied in quality as much as his music did. Siamese Dream and before I like his voice fine.
i recently saw these guys in my hometown columbus ohio and it was pretty great. although the sound could have been better because the venue was basically a bar, i was still satisfied. i got to say hi to the band after the show and said some encouraging words. i hope they make it back soon! rock and roll
The fact that all you people are going philosofical, says more than all the semi-pointless, though very true, comments on this song. But that's just my pointless comment!
sounds a bit cheesy but when i listen to this track i gotta feeling that everything makes sense. nothing seems to be more important than this moment. like everything i ever worried about is actually so simple. it´s a great song cause it´s giving me this nice warm feeling to be thankful for just being, every time i listen to it!
@whiteadi I guess you missunderstood me...the effect of this track on me is probably too strong to describe it in just a few sentences. I saw this guys live with this song about half a year ago, and it was just overwhelming! you don´t know my associations, and I don´t know yours...so let´s just listen to this great song and stop judging the impressions of it on others! By the way 5:39 kills it!!!!!!
@Shapeshifter280I think I put it to blunt: I was actually agreeing to you man,
and I said that good music makes you feel the feelings, each with their own, it reaches there inside and shake you, like a good book or even movie can have the khatarsis effect
I was listening to this song while on my nightly walks with my dog, and I don't know why, but listening to this gave me a humbling experience like after listening to Carl Sagan's speech. I felt that there was something special to my life and all life around me after listening to this. Its really something special.
@the343totalitarian Indeed what an awesome track!!... but i'm confused, for when I read Sagan, I hear him saying no ultimate meaning or purpose, we're just protoplasm, electrical charges, fizzing around, all a cosmic accident. I can't comport Sagan's philosophy and this wonderful, created masterpiece of Design, especially a musical score like this, that didn't just appear from nothing w/out effort and meaning and purpose.
@drds89 when i hear something like sagan's speech about how we're just such small particles (all the things you said) i think more of the sheer wonder of how it all happened and just how amazing it is. thinking of myself as a little dust particle without purpose doesn't make me feel bad at all--it makes me feel completely free. little off topic, but a lot of people tend to interpret nietzsche's writings as pessimistic, but really he talks about the most positive and freeing topics, like sagan
philos is the greek work for friend.,..don t know if this is where they were going but it kinda goes with the music

Reminds of the great alterna-rock of the 90's, a bit like some of the best Smashing Pumpkins.

@sheppar Yeah. A bit like Smashing Pumpkins without that horrible whiny singer.
