If everyone drives a 4x4 and wants to sit higher, this would become the norm and the increased visibility is not as evident anymore ... Not sure why the Europeans get the revised CRV 2 years earlier than North America as in most cases for other cars as well.
@gtvapsamtik xterra is kinda ugly :P and the rogue looks kinda weird but i would still buy the CRV or a Quashqai but you know me and you have diffrent taste's
@MW2Hackerboy In AMERICA? What the hell? Is it gold plated? Does it drive its self? The fully loaded one with all of the options doesn't go over $35,000!! And i'm pretty sure tarrifs stopped being implemented in the late 1700's... And a duty is a tax on international trade.... Are you sure you bought one....
Love this car. My 2005 CRV is going at 301k miles. Only major replacement was a catalytic converter at 250k miles. Kept up on my scheduled maintenance and the car has been running like a champ. I take it to the snow, off-roading (nothing crazy), tow things, etc. This car is great - I'm so glad I bought it. Good review.
I wish there were diesel engine choices in the U S. There are few. Mainly TDI Vw engines. Some truck engines. And Mercedes. GM, Ford and Chrysler offer none here. Oh well.
I owned a 2009 CRV all wheel drive. The car is all the reviewer says it is. Fantastic interior and seating. However, it was gutless. You could not pass anyone or maintain speed going uphill. The gas mileage always hovered at 18 - 20 mpg. Not so good.
@niveasunshine As an owner of an 02 CRV and an avid Honda fan, I would say there's some bad sides: the low fuel efficiency is most notable.
The car is EPA rated 24MPG Hwy and, frankly, you'll be fighting to get that -- I drive like a freaking old man and I typically get 26-28MPG. Plus, it's also hard as fuck to accelerate up a steep hill from a low speed because the acceleration pedal is too soft. You have to slam it all the way down to the floor just to get the car to actually accelerate!
@swimmachica There is very good reason going back to the days when the Brits used horses to fight their battles. Unlike the weedy foreigners who drive on the right-hand side of the road. (i.e. the wrong one)
@swimmachica LOL! First they should realize that to drive on the right side of the road the steering wheel should be on the left side of the vehicle. However, since they put the steering wheel on the right side, they consider that they did the correct thing, even though they keep on driving on the wrong side of the road.

@swimmachica Stop driving on the wrong side of the road. It's all a matter of perspective.
reevsaj 9 months ago
@swimmachica In England, the left side of the road is where you normally drive in, while in USA you normally drive on the right side.

@swimmachica Britain was using the left side of the track on horseback before the USA was even thought of!

@swimmachica Why it is where a right-hander should sensibly drive, as when you change gear you have your strongest hand on the steering wheel?
