  • Modern Progressives:

    Teddy Roosevelt

    Woodrow Wilson

    Margaret Sanger

    Joseph Mengele

    Hilary Clinton

Progressives don't have a problem with "the People" as long as they can keep them dependent and ignorant. That's how we got the most recent one: Barak Hussein Obama....Mmm....Mmm....Mmm.

  • glen beck is a joke

  • America went off the tracks when Glenn Beck got into major media.

  • FUCK Clown Paul Ryan FUCK Glenn Beck

  • @jon85554es damn , you posted same response on another tube,,have you every had an original thought??

  • @jon85554es fuck you too.

  • Glenn Beck is so awful that he can even shit on Republicans and still fail to make a decent point.

  • ... not worth it

  • Everyone in Washington knows that Paul Ryan has been told he has a million dollar a year lobbying job for the health industry if he gets his health care law passed.

Here's how it works-he lies through his teeth to get it passed-the healthcare insurance industry makes billions more from vouchers while still denying it's customers health care.

Meanwhile this nigger gets a cushy one million dollar a year job as a lobbyist. Way to sell out your own people Ryan!

  • Glenn beck is laughed at everyday.....he is an idiot

  • I believe that every type of nation, and political ways, I believe that we should imitate the good things rather than the bad things. I seen fasism socialism, etc, they all good good stand in some areas, even our capitalism has great deep flaws and these are economic areas flaws, because we kill our selves with our own money, so being fair, IF IT WORK! it does not matter where it comes from

  • @fernandovas09 Then how is it that we have domminated in Economics and have the most millionairs by 200+, and the second place country only 27.

  • paul ryan's a progressive and i'm black (i'm english)

  • YES! We cannot allow our minds to be infected by european thought! Get rid of Hegelian and Marxist thought, should have rejected William Wundt and Sigmund Freud's psychology, Kantian and Humean philosophy, those scientists Faraday, Einstein, and Kelvin's works shouldn't taint our american minds. Industrial Revolution? We would never have taken the concepts from Britain first would we?

Now come on, to reject ideas just because they're not from our landmass is short-sighted and stupid.

  • so if i am understanding that rant correctly. anarachy would be the ultimate sense of freedom. little did i know when i watched the movie the book of eli was i was watching glen beck's freedom wet dream.

  • "I don't know much about him" Then don't compare him to McCain! And Ryan does not want to run for president! He's stated this numerous times.

  • I'm listening because he is worth listening to, unlike a majority of college professors perverting and destroying healthy beliefs among young people!!! Like, maybe, Bill Ayers???

  • glenn beck is a douche

  • How old are you, AcceptTheGift and 88jsg??? You write like young people who have been brainwashed by the very teachers who espouse progressivism... Too young to remember National Socialism (NAZIism) and all the horrors of both Hitler and Stalin. Read up!

  • @captiria I'm 62, and thanks for asking.

I guess at this age I've had plenty of time to be brainwashed into believing that progressives do not have a problem with "the people". Do you think progressives have a problem with "the people"? It's just such an absurd statement. It's laughable.

People here are calling Beck a douche, and you have a problem with my comment? Thanks for the history lesson, but I'm already up to speed on that.

  • "Progressives have always had a problem with...'the people'".

[insert Twilight Zone theme song here]

The bigger question here is: What am I doing listening to Glenn Beck? Or: Why is ANYONE listening to him?

  • Good one :)

  • i honestly can't believe this guy gets paid to shovel bullshit. glen beck is a douche that loves to hear himself speak. His views on paul ryan are not correct, and seem to be based more on bitterness than anything.

  • Mussolini brought us Fascism. I don't even think that's debatable.

  • I am so confused by this.... I've seen this speech. It has exactly the opposite meaning... He is opposing the bailouts, less not more. He is pointing out that progressivism had a populism streak, at odds with the bailouts. I usually like Beck but he's way off base on Paul Ryan.

Also note the bit about progressivism being from Wisconsin is true and he is saying that he opposes statism within progressivism.

  • Glen Beck is a douche.

  • I have no idea where Beck get's the idea that Paul Ryan is anything like John McCain. I feel like Paul Ryan is doing a better job promoting the "Republican system" than Beck is. Maybe Beck should check into people a bit more before attacking them.

  • Of course Marx was German.

  • Germans brought us Communism???????

  • @oneslifesadream You didn't know Marx was a German?

  • @Torpedo8 Got me. Didn't know Marx was German.

  • Does beck not know that the American Constitution, wich he constantly defends, was inspired by the work of John Jocke, a British (therfore a Europenan) man.

How can he say that America cannot have any European influence.

  • @mfrantl No it wasnt....it was influence by the Bible...which was a Hebrew influence....

  • Bozo the Fascist. I think he has a future! Why does he lie so much?

  • Bozo the Fascist. I think he has a future!

  • Why does anybody take this crackpot seriously?

  • You're a dumbass beck

  • Glenn Beck..Please shut up. Thank you.

  • Let me get this straight, Beck does not know what Ryan's ideas are but he know that he does not like them because he used the term "progressive?" Obama tried to compare himself to Ronald Regan at one point during the primaries, but he is nothing like Regan. Beck is a smart man, I would have thought he would have looked a little deeper than one speach. The Roadmap for America is very accessible.

  • Did Beck prepare for this at all or is he just reading a blog and making foolish assumptions in real time without thinking about any of it?

  • I like you beck but you went over the edge a little bit with this one. I'm sure you didn't graduate from college with a B.a in economics? He's a progressive conservative so what.

  • For those of you who don't know yet, Glenn later interviewed Paul Ryan--and as it turned out, the blog he's reading here got it COMPLETELY wrong!

Glenn was quick to give a mea culpa.

  • I'm no fan of Paul Ryan, but he's a thousand times smarter than Glenn Beck.

  • @aceflashheart Paul Ryan is math smart and GB is pretty much a history buff. They're both good in their own individual expertise.

  • @Ansels2 No. Paul Ryan is math smart, bussiness smart, politics smart and likely a student of history himself.

Glenn Beck isn't so much a history 'buff' as he is someone who distorts History to push his crackpot Mormon ideology.

  • Glen Beck is a disgrace to the White race... He should be off the air.

  • Usually agree with Beck, but this country would be a better place with Paul Ryan as President.

Beck isn't half the person that Paul Ryan is. Intellectually, Morally, or Emotionaly

  • @joe1026 Paul Ryan voted for TARP! RINO!!!!!!!

  • @Vunks2000 Although I agree with you ideologically that NONE of the financials, autos, or fannie/freddie should have been bailed out, one must recognize that it was ill-conceived government policy, regulation, and (backwards) incentives to blame for these industries getting into this type of trouble. Therefore, realistically (as opposed to ideologically), it would have been irresponsible to let them go. However, the reforms needed to prevent a future crisis have not been implemented.

  • @landofthebroke No, you have to stay out of the way and let the market correct.

  • Glenn Beck barely graduated from high school, has had mental health problems, and problems with alcohol and drugs. I think his appeal to the "common" folks is because most of these followers know a guy who is just like Beck - drunk at the end of a neighborhood bar who is spouting bullshit most of the night. But he's fun to listen to.

  • I can't tell If glenn beck is becoming more libertarian or not. He's teetering for sure.

  • Pseudo intellectual. I'll bet your audience doesnt even UNDERSTAND most of the garbage youre spewing. I cant listen to you very long, because what youre saying is SO outrageous and deceitful. Pity on the sheep tht listen to you. THats why this coutnry is already SO FUCKED UP. Youre not satisfied, you want a another GREAT DEPRESSION. Mindless Coward!!

  • a person who believes in the teachings of ayn rand like paul ryan cannot be a progressive and dont bring up alan greenspan for that mans state of mind has never been sound and he like reagan never stuck to anything he said. and glenn does cherry pick everyone and has a big ego and makes up stuff in his own head all the time. good call TheBlueCoach.

  • Thanks Glenn... that was an eye opener...

  • Glenn Beck cherry pick's and put's word's in people's mouth's, And make's up stuff in his own head, He went from Booze and cocaine to Mormonism, He is clearly not of sound mind. He is definitely not to be trusted to make sound decision's. His ego overrides his intelligence.

  • @TheBlueConch you are an idiot. You pass judgement on Beck without even knowing the facts. Just to the right of the video, you'll notice that Ryan went on Beck show, and cleared up those quotes. Beck was reading from an article that the journalist got wrong.

  • See, if I come across as a little less than thoughtful, it's because of YouTube's comment length restrictions. Political issues are really way too complicated to argue in under five hundred characters.

  • FUCK YOU.. NAZIS ARE RIGHT WING EXTREMISM...eat my shorts.

  • @MrClaydough LMAO you idiot,NAZI's were the German socialist party. What a loser.Seriously you should know your facts before you try and spew your hatred.Idiot

  • @trink968 Oh God! Another moron.

HEY ASSWIPE...yeah you. Would you like to wager that 'ALL HISTORIANS', explain NAZISM to be primarily a right wing govt?

DO YA PUNK? Didnt think so asswipe chicken shit.

You should read daily b4 opening ur pie hole. heh heh

  • Paul Ryan is the man . . and i hope he runs for Prez !

  • Guys, please learn what socialism is. It's an EXTREME ECONOMIC SYSTEM in which ALL INDUSTRY is COMMUNITY-RUN. We don't have socialism in America, and we never will.

That being said, Paul Ryan has a vague economic plan that would produce short term benefits at best, and his radical changes to the income tax system would probably be pretty damaging, especially since his voting history indicates he approves of increased government size and spending.

  • @peanutfoot

Yeah my uncle said the same thing about Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.

But it wont happen like that here, progressives are patient and sneaky. They will slowly and quietly take control of the the economy and industry, if we let them.

I would be interested to hear the bond holders of the Chrysler corporation their opinion.

  • @f00bar451 Venezuela is/was a totally different equation, though. Economic politics in America have shifted so far to the right at this point, we're seriously in no danger of socialism; I don't care how "sneaky" the "progressives" are. Anyway, my point was, stop branding everyone you disagree with as "socialist" or "Communist." Seriously, it's like an army of Buzz Windrips every time I go online. Half the stuff you folks are calling "socialism" is actually fiscally centre-left.

  • @peanutfoot

Why cant we have a simple definition of economic terms?

Socialism simply should mean government control, the degree of which defines the society. Every society has some socialism, our Republic was founded to have as little socialism as possible with a very limited Federal Government. Your presumption that America will NEVER be socialist nation is laughable, how do you know what the future is?

  • @jjrglobal Look, whatever semantics you argue, our economy is predominantly capitalist, and it's going to stay that way, at least for a while. America isn't moving to the left economically; we're moving to the right economically. (Reagan Revolution ring any bells?) Seriously, Nixon proposed a health care bill further to the left than Obama's, and it was turned down because it didn't go far enough.

  • I love how here Beck is slamming Ryan, but after Ryan was on Beck's radio show yesterday, Beck now loves Ryan.

  • Paul Ryan is above Glenn Beck in my opinion. If you're going to insult people you should at least interview them first.

  • The problem with Republicans like Paul Ryan is that they have no credibility. Ryan voted for TARP, Patriot Act, Medicare Part D, Bush Stimulus, and No Child Left Behind, not to mention 8 years of budget deficits. He favors socialism and big government as long as it's a Republican administration doing it.

  • Glenn Beck I like you but I have to disagree...I like Paul Ryan very much...He gets the principles of Our Founding Fathers and I love how he doesn't back down when it comes to Obama's socialist agenda. Please look at each Republican as an individual and not as a whole...the media will use this against you and the good conservatives ...the media is not your friend.

  • I live in Paul Ryan's district. Many people who do not like Ryan point to his vote on the stimulus, but many were fooled by this bill. Ryan is a leader who is conservative at heart. He is the best we can find in the rank and file to lead this nation out of the Obama abyss. Becks attacks on Republicans is puzzling and makes one question his agenda. Seems if a person does not fit Becks mold perfectly, he is not worthy of advancement. Glenn, youre not the boss of me or the party.

  • "I'm sure Paul Ryan has some great ideas, and I don't know that much about him". ... That said it all, Beck. You used a speech by Ryan as a springboard for your tirade that in all honesty, has very little to do what what Ryan is advancing. Ryan is advancing that less is more. He's a fiscal conservative, and more than anything, that is what we need right now.

  • Paul Ryan may have missed the boat in this speech, but that does not define him, lest we forget that at the "Health Care Kangaroo Court" that Paul Ryan dressed down President Obama and the financial considerations of the Health Insurance Scam.

Paul Ryan will be leading the way, and if Glenn Beck can have Eric Massa and recently Al Sharpton on his FSN Show, he can have Paul Ryan show him his "Roadmap."

Search "John Stossel Paul Ryan," interesting interview between two Liberatarians.

  • Glenn, call out the bad Republicans do your research on the good ones and give them some credit. Paul Ryan is a great Conservative. Very frustrating when you do not give any credit to the guys that are fighting the good fight such as the Mike Pence's and the Jim Demint's and the Paul Ryan's of the Republicans. Gets very old, and this is where I agree with Mark Levin when he calls you out on this kind of BS.

  • Glenn does it sometimes. He damaged Texas' Debra Medina's rating by asking her stupid, provocative, useless questions, so she looked bad. He called Ron Paul's people nuts and so on... Be very careful with Glenn, he serves somebody and we don't know all the details...

  • Paul Ryan ROCKS!!! He's not a progressive Glenn. Get your sh*t together man. Do some research and figure out what a libertarian is or the concept of freedom and liberty. Paul Ryan is a libertarian and a liberty advocate. He is not a progressive. He wants less government.

  • @neue01

This is one of the first times I have disagreed with Beck. I will go along with you on this! ABSOLUTELY!

  • I'm trying to figure out where Beck is lying. As a Canadian, I'm not thinking he's crazy or a liar - I'm thinking, Duh!!!! I don't find the ideology he's preaching against particularly scary, but the way everyone is demonizing him makes me think there's something more here than just Canadian-style progressivism, because if that's all it is, why can't they have a debate and get it over with? There are pros and cons on both sides. The cover up, like with Bush, is what's creepy.
