  • Now thats awesome..I woulda loved to see that in action...I'm curious to see how well it moves material.

  • i kinda see where they were getting at but the traditional plows make more sense

  • Its an HD9. It should have a 4-71. If there were only 5 built, I know of 3, this being number 4

  • @cletracbob The fellow in the drivers seat told me the fifth disappeared long ago. I also only counted three fuel lines off the injector pump, however it did appear to have been worked on some time in the past, modified possibly, but your quite right about the HD9.

  • @Rainhill1829 Interesting. Have you ever seen one move dirt? They are impressive. I was told that they were designed to have better groung clearance for digging containment ponds for drilling operations. Also to be narrow enough to move without a permit. What part of the country was this film taken?

  • @cletracbob Unfortunatly he only drove it around, no dirt moving, just look at that paint job. I think its been some time since it pushed any dirt. I filmed this at Pioneer Acres in Irricana, Alberta. I will mark it on the map thingy. I'd love to see one in action since there are so few, it looks like it could make one heck of a ramp!. Just push it's nose in and give er snot. The blade looks as if it has been modified sometime to make it taller.
