  • and there aint nothin wrong with that

  • johnny is stoned right here

  • He really puts his emotions into this song, in this live version. He does with all his songs, but particularly here.

  • this song is sooo good

  • GREAT song, take me down memory lane

  • I have had the privilege of having Johnny Cash all my life. When I was seventeen, I picked him over Elvis and Hank Snow as the best singer, and though they were all good, he just had something different. This was 1957 and he had just come out with Fulsom Prison Blues, with at the time, that magical guitar sound.

  • Kristofferson's best

  • REVELATION 20.12 = MATTHEW 25.31. I wish you MATTHEW 25.40

  • Fantastic song performed by a great talent.

    It's all good.

  • HI Mary

  • Funny story about this song- Having been instructed by the network censors that he should sing " I'm wishing Lord that I was HOME", the great man in black went out on live network TV and sang "I'm wishing Lord that I was STONED", just as Kris wrote it.Unheard of at the time- what a man.

  • to mr. helloween17268: johnny didn´t write this song! it was written by kris kristofferson. he could not make succes on it and gave it to johnny in the early 70´s.! then johnny immediately made a world hit from it , I think because of his voice, and so johnny mostly is idendified with this great song! this very nice version is from the tv-show "Musikladen", a succesful show from the radio- and tv-station "Radio Bremen" in Northern Germany.

  • The year was 1969 and I was 16 and I heard this funny song on the radio called "A Boy Named Sue". That same year, this singer had a summer replacement show called "The Johnny Cash Show" and I watched it with my parents. From that moment on I would become a Johnny Cash fan for life. Over the next (several) years he would write songs that were mega hits. Of all the many, many songs that he recorded Sunday Morning Coming Down is my favorite. Right behind it comes The Man In Black. RIP Johnny Cash

  • It's too bad it didn't start at the beginning because other than that it's the best and most heart felt version I've heard my (Buddy ) do.......rayrogers @rayzpik's channel !!!!!

  • Yes, a beautiful verson...So much feelings Johnny puts into this..Miss him really ..

  • Fantastic version! Is this from a concert? or TV show?
