Whats up in the West Coast with the Tri-tip meat.... hard to find in my neck of the woods. Need to talk to the Texas meat packers in shipping some East Coast way. Texas Cattlemen are taking a big hit due to hot weather and no rain, they are spending over $75.00 on bail of hay and running the rubber off their water trucks. Buddy in Austin said they are sending cattle out for earley slaughter before they lose more weight. Briskit in my area now at $3.29 per lbs and ground chuck-chop $3.00 a lbs.
@johnnybagofdonets I don't know why more states don't carry it. I know that the cut was developed in Northern Cali, but it hasn't caught on elsewhere for some reason. Texas rocks the brisket! Hopefully you guys will be getting some rain soon. I hate seeing ranchers and farmers suffer like they are. They feed our country!
Just don't use it to take a fall off the bone tender rack of pork ribs off the grill. I found my flipper and decided to use it with the ribs. While lifting them up they just broke apart, I tried grabbing another place and again they fell apart. I ended up just removing them with tongs, they were still tasty, just not very presentable. I might add the video to a blooper reel.
Looks great brother, and congratulations to you and your lady. Bitchin' Zakk Wylde riff in the intro too, gotta love him. Appreciate the word about the troops as well, my brother just got back from a year with the US Army Infantry from a combat zone in Herat, Afghanistan. I've always said when talking to people about 9/11 and the wars, even if you don't agree with or support the war, you need to support our troops. Much love and respect to all those that serve, and the fallen, in both respects.
@Nhoddus Oh yeah... Got to see Zakk at Oz Fest a few years ago. KILLER SHOW! You are 100% right on about the troops. Agree with the war(s) or not, we have to support the boots on the ground!
Thanks again! And tell your brother thank you too!
Congrats on 18 years big man! I just celebrated 16 myself. Truly appreciate you giving me a shout out and I am sure you will enjoy using it as much as I have.

@sugerbear520 It works really good. The point is very fine and sharp, so it doesn't tear the meat. I'm sold on this thing now.
