@LoneStarTX14 its just one cat and it was 70 bucks shipped. wasn't really too high flow though. straight through design but so was my stock cat and my stock cat was much bigger giving a freer flow.
@phazon1029 i'm sure they get annoyed a bit haha i got a neighbor with an older stang supercharged with pipes. he doesnt like me cause i might be louder now lol
@Bulldogbabe852 i had it with a muffler delete. i dont want straight pipe its illegal and well it wound sound kinda bad on a 4.7l. though this was damn near straight pipe loud. but im content for the most with how it sounds today lol
Do you recommend the single tip or the y pipes? because I am thinking about getting a durango and I want to put a super 10 on it just not sure which one I want for sure
@soulman1988 duals on a durango are kinda funny unless you get rid of the spare tire and the hitch is kinda in the way. if i had to do it again i'd just leave it a single exhaust. just change the muffler and maybe a tip to make it look good. but i'd just do a single. unless you really want duals. single is just fine if not better in a way
@originalicetray thats true the 4.7l is a good motor for performance and towing. and sound. too bad it has aluminum heads. the only possible down fall haha but mine only has 83k miles. lol and thanks she does sound mean!!
@osubuckeye502 yeah was really loud and crackling. I liked the sound better with the stock 4.7l and only the super 10 series. if i were you i would start only with the muffler. save the cat for later. my current setup today is stock cat super 10 y pipe into duals tips. i have a video of that too lol
@osubuckeye502 yeah was really loud and crackling. @IPGAuto no mod i have done is given a noticeable gain that i could feel. the exhaust has been all show and the air intake was worthless too. idk why people say they "feel" the added power. i got rid of the high flow cat soon after getting it. stock cats on the durango flows far better than any aftermarket cat can.
@aaminjoshi91 - Damn. Well it usually goes IF its forced induction like turbo you'd want as much flow as possible. And for NA motors, its good to have somewhat of restriction for torque. That's what I've heard
@IPGAuto well. if you are looking for better pick up and acceleration the best thing you can do is get new gears in the rear. my durango has 3.55 gears and than the optional 3.93 gears. if you opt to the 4.10 gears or the 4.56 gears you'll notice a big difference in take off. gears aren't to expensive idk what install at a shop costs though. though gas miles might drop a little because cruising rpm will be higher.
@aaminjoshi91 Oh jeez! Well I have the exact same motor size and what not and year but I'm getting 3 Inch piping and do you remember where you bought your super 10 and your cat? Because I looked everywere and I haven't found a cheap one!
@4XLtee Nice 3 inch pipe will give a nice deep rumble. I bought my super 10 from summit and the high flow cat came from ebay. stock durangos though like mine come with a really nice free flowing cat. the reason i got a high flow was for volume so if you dont wanna be loud but are going for performance than stock cat is good. though a super 10 alone will make the 4.7l pretty damn loud.

@4XLtee yeah 3 in 3 out for the super 10 and i looked up high flow cat durango or something the cat is a FLOW MONSTER you should be able to find it on ebay. idk what the prices are anymore. but you can look around.
@4XLtee Umm i have an airaid jr air intake kit, a 2 inch torsion/shackle lift painted wheels bf Goodrich all terrain tires tinted the front windows out to 50% from factory 70% and just got my speakers fixed so i got an alpine sound system
hey man got my muffler put on an the cat had some work done on it an the truck sounds like a beast but thinking on doing some more work to it an doing dauls to make the sound wrap around and echo more would it be better to put in a y pipe an run 2 flowmaster super 10s or buy a si/do super 10 ?
@christeeter if you're not running true duals than two mufflers would be quieter. its easiest to do a single in dual out muffler or else have them y the pipe right after the muffler. thats what it is on mine. single in single out than the pipes split off into 2 pipes. easiest to go with a dual out muffler. I've got vids of my durango with duals and stock cat. check it out it might help?
sounds good man im thinking on running this set up on my truck i drive 1990 ford f150 351w cold air intake right now its straight piped with one stock cat left on it with 2.5 pipe to a 3in tip an a flowmasters super 10 is going on it in a couple days what would adding a flowmonster high flow cat do to it ?
@christeeter well the flowmaster super 10 will make it a little bit quieter but it will sound better. and if yours is a 1990 with a stock cat than a flow monster high flow cat will make a HUGE difference man. be much louder. imagine your setup now, and double it. stock cats especially older ones make the exhaust a lot quieter. the shape of the flow monster cat is the main thing. its got that cylinder style vs that oblong ovalish shape to it. much better air flow from the flow monster shaped cat.
@christeeter thanks for the advice man only problem is where i live we have a nosie law if your vehicles to load they can give you a ticket for disturbin the peace thats the only reason ive held back from buying the flowmonster yet
@christeeter well you've got fords 351 which is a beast of a motor. i'm sure its super loud already. and with the flowmaster super ten it stil will be loud and have some tone to it. you dont need the cat then man. still if you can make some videos of your exhaust bro! i wanna hear it!!
@aaminjoshi91 ill see what i can do about making some vids up on it an yea its loud but only on the outside i can start my truck up walk inside my house an you can hear it running but when your driving the truck unless you have the passenger window down you barley hear the exahust on it so not sure how to fix that one with out making it to loud to catch a almost 200 ticket
@christeeter well thats because you have a pick up. if you had an SUV than you would be able to hear it. i hear mine pretty well on the inside. and I'm guessing mine isn't as loud as yours. If you want your windows up and to be able to hear it than it'll be so loud that people a mile down the road will hear you!! lol
@christeeter lol if it would be legal id prolly do it but watchin some of your vids the highflow cat didnt really seem to make it much louder just changed the sound of it with the cat it had the sound of basicly a drag car but not as loud an with out it it sounded like it had a deeper more aggressive tone but the same loudness so im prolly going to stick with my stock cat an just weled the flowmasters into my 2.5 pipe an run single exauhst out off it should sound good an im working on some vids
@christeeter well in my case my stock cat is a true high flow cat as well. the flow monster was much smaller which made it louder. the flow monster actually made it a good amount louder. it was soo much smaller it forced air through quicker making it louder. but yeah stick with your stock cat. than if you want split it into two tail pipes. with a dual out super 10. if you have the money that is. things tend to get kinda pricey. you know?
@aaminjoshi91 actually did some research on the dual out let super 10s man an the local muffler shops around my area said a dual outlet muffler is just looks they give the same sound as a single outlet an with a daul outlet muffler you lose some low end torque but once i save up the money im going to set it up with true duals with 2 flowmaster super 10s si/so
@christeeter yeah the dual outlet mufflers dont do much anything but it doesn't take away any torque man. it actually made my exhaust louder in the cabin. i thinks its because its echoing on both sides now but either way yeah dual outlet will get you started for true duals. i can probably get true duals done for cheap now that the hardest part of the exhaust which is the second tail pipe is done.
@aaminjoshi91 i got my super 10 put on today an its made the truck have good sound but to quite for me would you reccoment the flowmonster high flow cat magnaflow or a diff brand
@christeeter yeah, it will quiet it down a bit. um as far as the cat goes. brand doesn't matter. do you know what the flow monster high flow cat looks like? as long as it looks like that it'll work. i would suggest going with the flow monster but as long as its the same style/type of converter it'll work the same.
@christeeter yes it should. when you buy it on the website it says obd2 safe and will meet the needs of all 49 states except California. Cali has some very strict exhaust rules. here in MN we have no inspections since we had a wwf wrestler become governor some few odd years back.
@aaminjoshi91 i live in NC an there not really that strict here either just the sound law i told you about will a high flow cat make it alot louder not to many people around here really have them so havent heard one in person my exaust set up is just stock headers to a y pipe stock cat an 2.5 pipe back to the flowmasters an 3in tip if im thinking right with a high flow cat like the flowmonster its basicly going to be basicly just like running a flowmasters with no cats
@christeeter idk if it will make it louder than before. if it does it wont be that much louder. and if it is. go to a auto parts store or small shop and tell them to put in a small resonator. that will tone it down just a bit. enough to make it sound good and be loud. I'm sure that should work. though fords tend to run quieter than dodge and Chevy. so hopefully it wont be too loud.
SO i am about to mine on a 5.2L, If this is dual after the Miffler, so you put more pipeing in the other hole, So you said Y-Piped in another video, So you have No more Cat back? just straight Y-piped after muffler, I'm saying this so i can know what to do with my dual one i got by accident lol.
@CaptainKnuckles1 if you got a dual out muffler than just use it for duals mine was a single out muffler and than he attached another pipe on to the old pipe to make duals. Its better to use a dual out muffler. its also easier and cheaper for the shop to do this.
if the 10 is louder and more aggressive how did the 44 sound better? Ive got the 10 dumped pretty much right after the cat. Its loud ( setting off car alarms etc) but I imagine the 44 has more of that tuned aggressive sharp hollow sound. Ya know wat I mean? more like a mustang and less like a truck. I plan on doin the cam and heads wen i rebuild but wnt be for a while so Im tryin to get that mustang sound with wat I got.
@captaincbr1 loud and aggressive doesn't mean better tone. the super 10 has a deeper louder rumble at idle and sounds better, but overall the super 44 sounded better. it has more of a controlled sound. it was also aggressive but it was too quiet for my taste.
@dodge2289 true, i mean the super 40, and super 44 along with the original 40 all have the aggressive sound and are 2 chamber mufflers. the super series run delta flow baffles which only stops the drone in the cab. other than that basically an original 40. though of the 3 i think the super 44 is slightly louder. but 10 series all the way!
I had the 40 dumped then switched to a 10 series . I cant afford a cam and heads etc right now for that aggressive sound of power and I dont think the 10 series is that aggressive sounding ....just really loud. Did the 44 series sound more demonic than the 10?
@captaincbr1 no the ten series is louder and more aggressive than the 44. the 44 did sound somewhat better though. not as close to straight pipe but i like the way the 10 sounds.
@aaminjoshi91 if the 10 is louder and more aggressive how did the 44 sound better? Ive got the 10 dumped pretty much right after the cat. Its loud ( setting off car alarms etc) but I imagine the 44 has more of that tuned aggressive sharp hollow sound. Ya know wat I mean? more like a mustang and less like a truck. @Mr06vortec the high flow cat i got killed my gas miles. i was getting like 13 mpg and than i got like 10 mpg. it was a lot smaller than stock though. if you want my advice DON'T WASTE YOU MONEY ON A HIGH FLOW CAT!!!! if you want one real bad find a magnaflow high flow cat which is VERY CLOSE to the size of the stock cat. dont buy a smaller than stock cat. it will cause a back pressure problem and kill your gas miles bro!!!
@aaminjoshi91 i had a airaid CAI and a superchips flashpaq programmer they did nothing to my dyno numbers or fuel milage so i sold them an got a drop in k@n and cherry bomb by the way nice rims
@Mr06vortec really? a flashpaq programmer and a name brand intake? nothin huh? wow you should have seen a good 25-30 more horsepower from the use of both of those.
@aaminjoshi91 i was running stock exhaust i think that was my problem you have to equal it out air fuel exhaust my o2 sensor whent out and i changed my fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs and wires i couldnt figure it out till my check engine light finaly came on and said my down stream sensor was bad but its welded in so i have to cut it off witch lead to while i have it off change my cat
@Mr06vortec stock exhaust on durango's should be really well flowing and performing. idk if that was the problem but it could be. but if you ask me i wouldn't change your stock cat. you wont gain or change anything from it. besides being able to say you have a high flow cat.
@aaminjoshi91 yeah i dont think im going to do a high flow for 100 bucks i can get a new tire because its a one tire fryer (thanks to a open diff) im going to try a hypertech max energy my cuzins jeep grand cherokee 4.7 got 9rw hp and 12rw ft-lbs im looking into painting my rims black but dont want to do all this work and looks like shit so trying to find some one to do it
@Mr06vortec yeah, pass on the cat bro and that sounds like some good gains! as far as painting them its actually not to hard if you do all the prep work right and you dont spray to heavy of coats but if your not comfortable with it find an old silver/grey rim or hub cap and practice on that maybe?
@yellowcow13 Its actually not to bad in person. i'm getting my stock cat put back on which will quiet it done a bit and make it sound better. less popping and crackling i believe. what size engine is in your explorer? a super 10 will sound bad ass on it regardless! let me know when you do!
@crazycolby68 I know right? i think because the camera is just barely in the garage its giving it an echo effect which makes it sound louder but it is loud! The high flow cat is whats making it pop and crackle so damn much. I'm considering putting my stock cat back on but i don't wanna quiet it down. even if it will only quiet down a little.
@audiethaman actually no its not. its loud but bearable. like i can have a conversation with who ever is sitting next to me. its perfect almost. i could do with a little less popping but what can ya do?
@audiethaman I got both the muffler and high flow cat offline. the cat came from eBay and the muffler from summit racing. yeah its way louder than the super 44. but it doesn't sound as good imo. but i still love it. I'm curious what the super 10 would have sounded like without the high flow cat i bought because the cat changed the sound a lot and made it noticeably louder!
@person3213 haha, laugh it up man. i hate soccer moms lol. they turned big rugged suv's into vans. there should be a law against this! the suv's combine sport muscle luxury all into one package. haha
@aaminjoshi91 nice man im thinken bout cuttin the cats outof mine lol and yeah they look similair but im sitten on mud tires now and i have a grill gaurd and runnin boards lol but like the rims wat paint did u use?
@person3213 yeah it crackles a whole lot when starting but after a min of this vid goin by it sounds real bad ass! one of the best 4.7l exhaust out there. if i was running dual pipes twenty bucks says i could pass this off as true duals haha!
sounds beast. i got the 5.9l what muffler would you recommend ? i want a loud exhaust but with little crackle and pop as possible. i cant decide!!! haha
@hahatrainwr3ck well dodge's are known for there crackle and pop. so if you get a muffler like mine that's one chamber it'll crackle. I'd say since its a much bigger engine it'll definitely be loud.
if i were you i would buy the "flowmaster original 40 series". its got a loud aggressive tone and with a 5.9l it'll be loud for sure.
Thanks man! True duals would be badass, my friend's uncle put true duals with an after-market 5'' pipping after the two flowmaster 10 series on his Dodge Ram 1500 5.7l, wanna hear a truck over a mile away and shake houses, do what you want and put the 5'' pipping after the mufflers, they say it's like blowing into a horn so it echos thus it's way loud, thanks for the help man! Can't wait for my super 10 series swap on the 4.7l :)!
@mlb239 Yeah no problem man! I love it I didnt think my durango could sound so badass! Gotta tell you man after all the trucks i've heard with no cats i've gotta say my durango sounds like it is cat-less. you can really tell when its idling after 1:00 or so!
Hey bro, I have the same exact durango and I had recently gotten it, what's your exact exhaust set up? Other than the Flow 10, your high flow cat and your cold air intake, what else would you have that contributes to the exhaust, basically, say everything you have for mods haha, like pipe measurements etcs :)! When I say all, I mean all to the point where I can sound exactly like yours so I can rape this side of the country haha
@mlb239 Well as far as the video you know all that i have. the pipe size is stock 2.5 inches. If i had the money and didn't worry about gas much then this is what i would do. true duals 2 flow monster high flow cats into two flowmaster super 10 series. As far as 4.7l go i haven't really heard a 4.7l louder than mine unless it had true duals. duals are hard on durango's though. no space. do what i did and you'll love it man!!
Hell yea...sounds a lot better man! Too bad we don't live any closer, would be awesome to meet up and check em out! Sounds great. I just bought a 4wheeler so I'm fixin it up while still tryin to work on the truck. Still looking to shoot another video soon though.
@Hursey09 Yeah I love it man! i just need a 2nd pipe runnin out the back and i'm set! yeah it would be great to meet up and see whats goin on under your dak. Then you can see what a single pipe 4.7l is all about haha!! 4 wheeler huh? sounds like fun bro!
dont let them worry you, like I told you before.. the sensors are fine and nowhere near the cat they took out. I have to agree I am not a fan of the raspy glass pack resemblant sound of a mid 90's F150. But the growl at low RPM has a kick that other exhausts miss. I like it
@nfgblitzdude08 No worries man! Just playin it safe is all. Yeah i know what you mean about the glass packs. There is a little more crackling from my exhaust then i would like but this is the closest I've gotten to the sound i wanted so I'm not complaining!
i like it! but i don't like the popping. it sounds like they do with no muffler. i think i still may get one! how long did you have the super 44? also what were the dimensions on the 10? and where did you get it from? sounds good when your down the road though!! i feel like this would sound so bad ass on the 5.9!
@ZONDA432 On a 5.9l i don't think it would pop as much? Also i do have the high flow cat which did increase some of that popping sound. if you keep your stock cat and get the super 10 i think it'll sound bad ass! just look for 5.9l with cherrybomb extremes its basically the same thing. its like 9 inch wide by 6 inches long and 4 inches thick? plus the 2 inch inlet and outlet ends so overall maybe 10 inches long?
@4wheeler14 Yeah I'll try to get one here as soon as i can. Oh and remember i also have the high flow cat which really did make it louder. so yours wont be this loud most likely but it will def be louder with a more "controlled" sound
@aaminjoshi91 haha i seriously can't wait. my neighbors will hate me but i don't care. the 4.7 is one hell of an engine...pretty mean sound for a smaller v8
@aaminjoshi91 muffler is coming this week and getting it installed next week. My mechanic will do the inspection for me right away so I don't have to wait!!! love it
@aaminjoshi91 my buddy works at the mechanic shop where I got the first muffler put on. I asked if they could do it and they said it was ok lol. I know the guys really well. They're going to do the inspection with the Super 44 and cat in place, then hack off the cat and weld on the super 10
@4wheeler14 Yeah with no cat your oxygen sensors will detect a lot of carbon dioxide. look into it bro! you dont want any check engine lights coming on!!
Sounds good. Was reading your comment on the cat. From my understanding the stock cat is high flow
all4jrs 2 weeks ago
@all4jrs yeah stock cats are pretty high flow. they are large cylindrical and overall as free flowing as it'll get.

christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter well the flowmaster super 10 will make it a little bit quieter but it will sound better. and if yours is a 1990 with a stock cat than a flow monster high flow cat will make a HUGE difference man. be much louder. imagine your setup now, and double it. stock cats especially older ones make the exhaust a lot quieter. the shape of the flow monster cat is the main thing. its got that cylinder style vs that oblong ovalish shape to it. much better air flow from the flow monster shaped cat.
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
@christeeter thanks for the advice man only problem is where i live we have a nosie law if your vehicles to load they can give you a ticket for disturbin the peace thats the only reason ive held back from buying the flowmonster yet
christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter well you've got fords 351 which is a beast of a motor. i'm sure its super loud already. and with the flowmaster super ten it stil will be loud and have some tone to it. you dont need the cat then man. still if you can make some videos of your exhaust bro! i wanna hear it!!
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
@aaminjoshi91 ill see what i can do about making some vids up on it an yea its loud but only on the outside i can start my truck up walk inside my house an you can hear it running but when your driving the truck unless you have the passenger window down you barley hear the exahust on it so not sure how to fix that one with out making it to loud to catch a almost 200 ticket
christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter well thats because you have a pick up. if you had an SUV than you would be able to hear it. i hear mine pretty well on the inside. and I'm guessing mine isn't as loud as yours. If you want your windows up and to be able to hear it than it'll be so loud that people a mile down the road will hear you!! lol
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
@christeeter lol if it would be legal id prolly do it but watchin some of your vids the highflow cat didnt really seem to make it much louder just changed the sound of it with the cat it had the sound of basicly a drag car but not as loud an with out it it sounded like it had a deeper more aggressive tone but the same loudness so im prolly going to stick with my stock cat an just weled the flowmasters into my 2.5 pipe an run single exauhst out off it should sound good an im working on some vids
christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter well in my case my stock cat is a true high flow cat as well. the flow monster was much smaller which made it louder. the flow monster actually made it a good amount louder. it was soo much smaller it forced air through quicker making it louder. but yeah stick with your stock cat. than if you want split it into two tail pipes. with a dual out super 10. if you have the money that is. things tend to get kinda pricey. you know?
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
@aaminjoshi91 actually did some research on the dual out let super 10s man an the local muffler shops around my area said a dual outlet muffler is just looks they give the same sound as a single outlet an with a daul outlet muffler you lose some low end torque but once i save up the money im going to set it up with true duals with 2 flowmaster super 10s si/so
christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter yeah the dual outlet mufflers dont do much anything but it doesn't take away any torque man. it actually made my exhaust louder in the cabin. i thinks its because its echoing on both sides now but either way yeah dual outlet will get you started for true duals. i can probably get true duals done for cheap now that the hardest part of the exhaust which is the second tail pipe is done.
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
@aaminjoshi91 i got my super 10 put on today an its made the truck have good sound but to quite for me would you reccoment the flowmonster high flow cat magnaflow or a diff brand
christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter yeah, it will quiet it down a bit. um as far as the cat goes. brand doesn't matter. do you know what the flow monster high flow cat looks like? as long as it looks like that it'll work. i would suggest going with the flow monster but as long as its the same style/type of converter it'll work the same.
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
@aaminjoshi91 will the flowmonster converter pass inspection ?
christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter yes it should. when you buy it on the website it says obd2 safe and will meet the needs of all 49 states except California. Cali has some very strict exhaust rules. here in MN we have no inspections since we had a wwf wrestler become governor some few odd years back.
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
@aaminjoshi91 i live in NC an there not really that strict here either just the sound law i told you about will a high flow cat make it alot louder not to many people around here really have them so havent heard one in person my exaust set up is just stock headers to a y pipe stock cat an 2.5 pipe back to the flowmasters an 3in tip if im thinking right with a high flow cat like the flowmonster its basicly going to be basicly just like running a flowmasters with no cats
christeeter 11 months ago
@christeeter idk if it will make it louder than before. if it does it wont be that much louder. and if it is. go to a auto parts store or small shop and tell them to put in a small resonator. that will tone it down just a bit. enough to make it sound good and be loud. I'm sure that should work. though fords tend to run quieter than dodge and Chevy. so hopefully it wont be too loud.
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
that sounds so amazing..

CaptainKnuckles1 1 year ago
@CaptainKnuckles1 if you got a dual out muffler than just use it for duals mine was a single out muffler and than he attached another pipe on to the old pipe to make duals. Its better to use a dual out muffler. its also easier and cheaper for the shop to do this.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
if the 10 is louder and more aggressive how did the 44 sound better? Ive got the 10 dumped pretty much right after the cat. Its loud ( setting off car alarms etc) but I imagine the 44 has more of that tuned aggressive sharp hollow sound. Ya know wat I mean? more like a mustang and less like a truck. I plan on doin the cam and heads wen i rebuild but wnt be for a while so Im tryin to get that mustang sound with wat I got.
captaincbr1 1 year ago
@captaincbr1 loud and aggressive doesn't mean better tone. the super 10 has a deeper louder rumble at idle and sounds better, but overall the super 44 sounded better. it has more of a controlled sound. it was also aggressive but it was too quiet for my taste.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
@captaincbr1 the 44's arnt much different than the 40.. i love my 40 but i switched to 10...
dodge2289 11 months ago
@dodge2289 true, i mean the super 40, and super 44 along with the original 40 all have the aggressive sound and are 2 chamber mufflers. the super series run delta flow baffles which only stops the drone in the cab. other than that basically an original 40. though of the 3 i think the super 44 is slightly louder. but 10 series all the way!
aaminjoshi91 11 months ago
I had the 40 dumped then switched to a 10 series . I cant afford a cam and heads etc right now for that aggressive sound of power and I dont think the 10 series is that aggressive sounding ....just really loud. Did the 44 series sound more demonic than the 10?
captaincbr1 1 year ago
@captaincbr1 no the ten series is louder and more aggressive than the 44. the 44 did sound somewhat better though. not as close to straight pipe but i like the way the 10 sounds.

i have a 99 durango 5.9 with a cherry bomb and im going to do a high flow cat will it make my mpgs drop i only get 9mpg so i dont want it to drop
Mr06vortec 1 year ago
@Mr06vortec the high flow cat i got killed my gas miles. i was getting like 13 mpg and than i got like 10 mpg. it was a lot smaller than stock though. if you want my advice DON'T WASTE YOU MONEY ON A HIGH FLOW CAT!!!! if you want one real bad find a magnaflow high flow cat which is VERY CLOSE to the size of the stock cat. dont buy a smaller than stock cat. it will cause a back pressure problem and kill your gas miles bro!!!
get a K&N cold air intake instead! those are nice
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
@aaminjoshi91 was it a smaller diameter or shorter my cat is 17in long i think its 2 1/4 but not shure what size was yours
Mr06vortec 1 year ago
@Mr06vortec yeah my cat is about 17-20 inches long i'm guessing and the one i bought was only 11 inches long so much shorter. and it was 2 1/2
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
@aaminjoshi91 i had a airaid CAI and a superchips flashpaq programmer they did nothing to my dyno numbers or fuel milage so i sold them an got a drop in k@n and cherry bomb by the way nice rims
Mr06vortec 1 year ago
@Mr06vortec really? a flashpaq programmer and a name brand intake? nothin huh? wow you should have seen a good 25-30 more horsepower from the use of both of those.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
@aaminjoshi91 i was running stock exhaust i think that was my problem you have to equal it out air fuel exhaust my o2 sensor whent out and i changed my fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs and wires i couldnt figure it out till my check engine light finaly came on and said my down stream sensor was bad but its welded in so i have to cut it off witch lead to while i have it off change my cat
Mr06vortec 1 year ago
@Mr06vortec stock exhaust on durango's should be really well flowing and performing. idk if that was the problem but it could be. but if you ask me i wouldn't change your stock cat. you wont gain or change anything from it. besides being able to say you have a high flow cat.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
@aaminjoshi91 yeah i dont think im going to do a high flow for 100 bucks i can get a new tire because its a one tire fryer (thanks to a open diff) im going to try a hypertech max energy my cuzins jeep grand cherokee 4.7 got 9rw hp and 12rw ft-lbs im looking into painting my rims black but dont want to do all this work and looks like shit so trying to find some one to do it
Mr06vortec 1 year ago
@Mr06vortec yeah, pass on the cat bro and that sounds like some good gains! as far as painting them its actually not to hard if you do all the prep work right and you dont spray to heavy of coats but if your not comfortable with it find an old silver/grey rim or hub cap and practice on that maybe?
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
way too loud. Ill consider doing this to my explorer
yellowcow13 1 year ago
@yellowcow13 Its actually not to bad in person. i'm getting my stock cat put back on which will quiet it done a bit and make it sound better. less popping and crackling i believe. what size engine is in your explorer? a super 10 will sound bad ass on it regardless! let me know when you do!
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
@aaminjoshi91 Im looking into getting a 4.6 v8 SOHC Explorer. Nice Durango btw

WTF your so far away and it still sounds like in your drive way.....FUCKING AWSOME!!
crazycolby68 1 year ago
@crazycolby68 I know right? i think because the camera is just barely in the garage its giving it an echo effect which makes it sound louder but it is loud! The high flow cat is whats making it pop and crackle so damn much. I'm considering putting my stock cat back on but i don't wanna quiet it down. even if it will only quiet down a little.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
i bet it is loud as hell inside the truck when you driving at a constant speed like 70mph.
audiethaman 1 year ago
@audiethaman actually no its not. its loud but bearable. like i can have a conversation with who ever is sitting next to me. its perfect almost. i could do with a little less popping but what can ya do?
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
That sounds bass. Where did you get it?? And is it noticeably louder than the other muffler you had??
audiethaman 1 year ago
@audiethaman I got both the muffler and high flow cat offline. the cat came from eBay and the muffler from summit racing. yeah its way louder than the super 44. but it doesn't sound as good imo. but i still love it. I'm curious what the super 10 would have sounded like without the high flow cat i bought because the cat changed the sound a lot and made it noticeably louder!
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
not bad man wat did u use to paint ur rims wat paint? and im thinkin bout gettin rid of my cats lol

@person3213 haha, laugh it up man. i hate soccer moms lol. they turned big rugged suv's into vans. there should be a law against this! the suv's combine sport muscle luxury all into one package. haha
But what are you gonna do? lol
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
@aaminjoshi91 nice man im thinken bout cuttin the cats outof mine lol and yeah they look similair but im sitten on mud tires now and i have a grill gaurd and runnin boards lol but like the rims wat paint did u use?
dfarmer2010 1 year ago
@dfarmer2010 Yeah no cats will sound great with that original 40 series for sure. i used regular rustoleum protective enamel paint.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
so i decided to watch this again. i like it alot now haha. it brought a smile to face when you started it
person3213 1 year ago
@person3213 yeah it crackles a whole lot when starting but after a min of this vid goin by it sounds real bad ass! one of the best 4.7l exhaust out there. if i was running dual pipes twenty bucks says i could pass this off as true duals haha!

@memphiskicksass Thanks man, yeah flowmaster super 10 is really similar to the cherrybomb extreme. gotta love em.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
sounds beast. i got the 5.9l what muffler would you recommend ? i want a loud exhaust but with little crackle and pop as possible. i cant decide!!! haha
hahatrainwr3ck 1 year ago
@hahatrainwr3ck well dodge's are known for there crackle and pop. so if you get a muffler like mine that's one chamber it'll crackle. I'd say since its a much bigger engine it'll definitely be loud.
if i were you i would buy the "flowmaster original 40 series". its got a loud aggressive tone and with a 5.9l it'll be loud for sure.
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
Can't wait for my super 10 series swap on the 4.7l :)!
mlb239 1 year ago
@mlb239 Yeah no problem man! I love it I didnt think my durango could sound so badass! Gotta tell you man after all the trucks i've heard with no cats i've gotta say my durango sounds like it is cat-less. you can really tell when its idling after 1:00 or so!
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
Hey bro, I have the same exact durango and I had recently gotten it, what's your exact exhaust set up? Other than the Flow 10, your high flow cat and your cold air intake, what else would you have that contributes to the exhaust, basically, say everything you have for mods haha, like pipe measurements etcs :)! When I say all, I mean all to the point where I can sound exactly like yours so I can rape this side of the country haha
mlb239 1 year ago
@mlb239 Well as far as the video you know all that i have. the pipe size is stock 2.5 inches. If i had the money and didn't worry about gas much then this is what i would do. true duals 2 flow monster high flow cats into two flowmaster super 10 series. As far as 4.7l go i haven't really heard a 4.7l louder than mine unless it had true duals. duals are hard on durango's though. no space. do what i did and you'll love it man!!
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago

Hursey09 1 year ago
@Hursey09 Yeah I love it man! i just need a 2nd pipe runnin out the back and i'm set! yeah it would be great to meet up and see whats goin on under your dak. Then you can see what a single pipe 4.7l is all about haha!! 4 wheeler huh? sounds like fun bro!

@methos0072001 Yeah, its real bad ass! Thanks bro!
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
dont let them worry you, like I told you before.. the sensors are fine and nowhere near the cat they took out. I have to agree I am not a fan of the raspy glass pack resemblant sound of a mid 90's F150. But the growl at low RPM has a kick that other exhausts miss. I like it
nfgblitzdude08 1 year ago
@nfgblitzdude08 No worries man! Just playin it safe is all. Yeah i know what you mean about the glass packs. There is a little more crackling from my exhaust then i would like but this is the closest I've gotten to the sound i wanted so I'm not complaining!
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
i aint totally feeling it brosif! to much popping and raspy poopy sounding for my taste.. :\ maybe once it breaks in?
person3213 1 year ago
@person3213 I love it man! sounds beast to me! hopefully when it breaks in though it'll sound better to ya!
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
i like it! but i don't like the popping. it sounds like they do with no muffler. i think i still may get one! how long did you have the super 44? also what were the dimensions on the 10? and where did you get it from? sounds good when your down the road though!! i feel like this would sound so bad ass on the 5.9!
ZONDA432 1 year ago
@ZONDA432 On a 5.9l i don't think it would pop as much? Also i do have the high flow cat which did increase some of that popping sound. if you keep your stock cat and get the super 10 i think it'll sound bad ass! just look for 5.9l with cherrybomb extremes its basically the same thing. its like 9 inch wide by 6 inches long and 4 inches thick? plus the 2 inch inlet and outlet ends so overall maybe 10 inches long?
aaminjoshi91 1 year ago
HOLY SHIT that sounds badass. I can't wait for my Super 10 to come. Any chance of an interior video?
4wheeler14 1 year ago
@4wheeler14 Yeah I'll try to get one here as soon as i can. Oh and remember i also have the high flow cat which really did make it louder. so yours wont be this loud most likely but it will def be louder with a more "controlled" sound
