Looks like AsyncLabs is shutting down, and Microchip is supposed to carry the parts now. I didn't not see the WiShield advertised on Microchip site yet. Do you have any experience with the LinkSprite Anaconda WiFi Shield for Arduino?
Most likely yes, but it depends a little on what I end up doing for Internet access once I switch fully from the Alix-1 based system. Right now it's a 3G modem on the Alix-1, but Arduino can't do that. If I use a 3G router then it'll provide the wifi connection as well, probably running OpenWRT

hi, can i use it to connect a computer to a router. for example bumming networks. What range can i reach with the wishield with antenna.??
I need to get a computer to access a router in the same building.
