I think the "Women's Group" teacher is Fanny Flagg, the woman who wrote the book entitled "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe" upon which this movie was based. She also wrote the screenplay for this movie.

I loved this movie. I watched it when I just turned 9 and loved it. I later bought a phone and have an app Flixter to see upcoming movies. It was sponsored by FriedTomatoes and i remembered this awesome movie. It made me cry. Ty for posting it

when i was REALLY young i saw this movie. And i don't remember anything about it except Evelyn in the saran wrap. I was really young and remember thinking "what does this have to do with marriage?"
