  • Glad I found this video. On Feb 11, 1967( 45 years ago today) I proposed to my wife while Frankie Lane was singing this song in the Imperial Room at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Had Frankie autograph his best wishes for us on an album cover that night as a souvenir. Taking her out for a romantic dinner tonight and and will be playing this video for her on my iPhone later in the evening.

  • @swoopers1944 I hope that your wife and you had a great rmantic dinner. I have heard from many coples that fell in love to this recording. No singer could more feeling into a song lyric than Frankie Laine. I met him several times and there wasn't a nicer guy in show business or anywhere else.

  • My mother was the last "girl" that frankie sang to in the tv clip. she was a model with the Lucy Clayton Agency and said the 1953 London shoot took three days and was only aired in the USA. She had never seen it until today. The look on her still beautiful face was priceless. thank you for posting this wonderful video.

  • @c060260w I'm glad to have something to brighte your Mother's day. It's funny that this was't aired in the UK as this is were the show was made and it's alo were I got the tapes of all of Frankie's movies and most of his TV shows over there as well. We lived in England for 3 yrs in the early 70's. By the way your Mom was the best looking of all the models in this skit.
