It was in 01 i think. We were facing the Jaguars and if we won, we would be in the playoffs. It was fourth and around 10 in the redzone of the Jaguars and Tim Couch threw a pass and it was caght by KEvin Johnson. The Browns then spiked the ball and went into the huddle to call a play. There was around 30 seconds left. Then, the refs blew the whistle and called a review on the 4th down pass AFTER the Browns had spiked the ball. It was overturned and the jags won.

It was in 01 i think. We were facing the Jaguars and if we won, we would be in the playoffs. It was fourth and around 10 in the redzone of the Jaguars and Tim Couch threw a pass and it was caght by KEvin Johnson. The Browns then spiked the ball and went into the huddle to call a play. There was around 30 seconds left. Then, the refs blew the whistle and called a review on the 4th down pass AFTER the Browns had spiked the ball. It was overturned and the jags won.

It stands for Al Lerner, the man who was named owner of the "new" Browns in '99. Some people call him the man who returned football to Cleveland, but I have a different take on the guy. I heard he did a lot of community work and donated tons of cash. But he was the silent minority percentage owner of the "old" Browns, and it was HIS private jet that Modell used to fly to Baltimore and sign the deal to move the team. Some people don't remember, or acknowledge that fact.

Well, the Browns' fans have put up with more crap than any other franchise in sports except for the Cubs and STILL have the most fans all over the world. They actually have the most Backer Clubs (fans in other cities than Cleveland that watch their games at a local bar) for any NFL team. More than the Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers or Giants. Their fans base is #1 and I still don't understand how they support this team when the owners has failed consistently with putting a winner on the field. Oh Well
