NOBODY knocked the sox off Vera Lynn. Why the invidious comparisons? Anne Shelton is a great singer in her own right. So is Vera Lynn. We don't need to knock any singer to praise another. Both share one thing in common for me.: I never heard anything either sang that I didn't like.

She had a classical technique; at the same time could have passed for a black American blues diva in her rendition of this song. One of my favourite artists.
