@BrounClan  You're very welcome. Sorry about the poor recording, but i dont think it is that bad as I have a large tv screen, so the sound is worse than the actual picture. We have just had season 2 end yesterday, so I hope that you enjoy the rest of the series thats to come in Australia ! :-)

I understand why they would only make three seasons, and I respect their choice if they do, because I hated how like in LOST the fans loved it so much they were forced to continue and make more seasons than they orignially had planned and it ruined the original plot line, and I don't want that to happen to Downton but... UGH. It's so good that I definitely won't argue if they make it longer :D <3 <3 <3 Downton.

Maggie Smith is fabulous as ever! And Elizabeth McGovern, who plays Cora, is actually American-born so I don't think it's an accent that's been put on.

@CaffeineFired I actually think McGovern is one of the weakest actors in the cast. I think Maggie and the actress who plays Mary, Michelle Dockery are the best.

@AishwaryaSpiceOnline Unless acting is really, really atrocious or really fantastic I personally find it very hard to judge the quality of a person's acting skills. I was only commenting on the fact that her accent is most probably not put on given that, like her character, she was born in the US and has lived in the UK for many years with a British husband.

@firewolf222 i just finished season 1 on netflix! when i watching it i thought that they might add S2 right away but i just found out that for american viewers they're not gonna air it til january 2012 on TV, so most likely it's not gonna b on netflix until around that time :( if u cant wait ur best bet is the internet! season two just recently started in the UK, as of now theres only 3 episodes~ just google it its not hard to find :)

Just watched Downton Abbey for the first time tonight. Can see why it is popular. Well, the Lady talking to Maggie has a strange accent. Asked the wife as to whether she was a yank who married an English gent. Apparently not. Dreadful accent and it does spoil the ambience.

@superalihare Actually, I believe it was stated in earlier episodes that the mother (Cora) was originally from the United States. Look up the synopsis of the show on pbs.org.
