  • WHATS THE NAME OF THE TRACK THAT STARTS AT 7:16??

  • sugar ray leonard was bad ass.... he looked harmless outside the ring but a beast in the ring.

  • @laistar i bet i could bet sugar ray in his prime

  • I could give 2 shits about his name lol stop bitching people he was great

  • great man great champion,i like him but would of liked him a lot more if he didnt duck fighters, steal ray robinsons name an use ali's shuffle =o rude

  • I love how Sugar Ray Leonard called Ray Robinson the REAL sugar.

  • His first fight against Tommy Hearns was one of the best five in history of boxing!

  • One of the greatest boxer....Respect from Canada.....

  • Legend!!!!!Speed and natural abillity!!!!

  • AWESOME !!!

  • Great upload.Thank you. They are all great uploads but no one will ever convince me this wasn't the greatest fighter who ever stepped in the ring.Everyone's entitled to differ but this guy beats them all for me.I doubt Floyd(for all his brilliance and ability) would have made the comment about Ray not being good enough at his best for today's P4P list if Ray was still able to fight.Clearly Floyd's not interested in his long term legacy or there would be more future hall of famers on his record.

  • HALL OF FAMER

  • thankyou for putting this up. My favorite fighter

  • duran would be to much for chavez at lightweight and would just wear him down and stop him late as for leonard vs duran leonard chose durans fight and stood flatfooted the whole fight but the difference is clear to see because duran work rate was way above chavez and had better defence and was agreat inside fighter ! chavez optimum weight was 140 and no more and it was proved the da la hoya dominated him and leonard is far superior to the golden boy and you know it and so do i !!!

  • Ray Leonard meant alot to alot of kids in Palmer Park md. Club Lebaron was not to far from we he lived. It was one of the birth places of GO-GO. The boys club football program was poor but the volunteer coaches were just great. 76 Olympics was not just magic for him , he brought pride to a poor community and he showed us that we could be something more than just street thugs. The parents of the time did the same. Some of us made it. US ARMY , 21 years. Thanks Mom and Dad , and Mr. Leonard !

  • Ray Leonard, one of the greatest to ever grace the boxing ring. I'll never forget the fight against Tommy Hearns when he knocked Hearns through the ropes and stopped him. That fight was like an international event. I remember the sleepless nights just waiting for the fight. Man, it was the talk of the town and the city was completely silent once the fight started. No one was even on the streets, they were all in front of their t.v.'s.

  • who the fuck would dislike this video

  • prime to prime in 140 pounds I think that Julio Cesar Chavez would beat Leonard

  • @diablocoolo never in a million years

  • @BlackPoisonxX If Duran did it Chavez could have too, he was way more dangerous in his prime than Duran

  • @diablocoolo I disagree personally

  • @BlackPoisonxX we agree on disagree

  • @diablocoolo Hey how could Chavez beat Ray if he couldn't even beat whitaker or frankie randall?? unless ur saying Whitaker is better then both ray and chavez the comment makes no sense, no offense, not only that but ray came back and made duran quit. Great champs come back and avenge their losses like leonard, Ali, and Robinson. Chavez never avenged any any of his losses, he always had problems with slick boxers like most pressure boxers do .To me Duran was better then Chavez

  • @dontae562 In the end of the Chavez-Rosario fight, Leonard, who was a commentator, was asked "would you face a guy like JC Chavez?" Leonard said "Im not crazy, he is going to be one hard man to beat, I dont see any human force that can stop this guy today" Camacho prefered to fight the "legendary" Leonard instead of a rematch against Chavez (back in 96) that is because Camacho knew how hard Chavez used to hit and how tuff he was

  • @BlackPoisonxX Hey how could Chavez beat Ray if he couldn't even beat whitaker or frankie randall?? unless ur saying Whitaker is better then both ray and chavez the comment makes no sense, no offense, not only that but ray came back and made duran quit, great champs come back and avenge their losses like leonard, Ali, and Robinson. Chavez never avenged any any of his losses, he always had problems with slick boxers like most pressure boxers do .To me Duran was better then Chavez

  • @dontae562 Oh well if that is the case, remember that Chavez beat the shit out of Camacho and Camacho beat the shit out of Ray. That is not the case. When Chavez fought Randall and Whitaker he was removed from his prime, just like Ray when he fought Camacho. Prime Chavez (86-90) was unstoppable, have you even seen his prime? the fights against Laporte, Rosario or Mayweather. That was prime JC Chavez.

  • @diablocoolo I have Chavez whole dvd collection , ofcourse i seen his fights , Chavez is an all-time graet but styles make fights even when chavez knocked out Taylor he was losing the whole fight, the difference between Taylor and Whitaker was the defense , the Chavez style of fighting is dangerous for a standard b level boxer but easy to beat by a A+ slick boxer , thats why most mexicans boxers have a more american style today like Dela hoya, Vargas ,Marquez Alvarez. which are great boxers

  • @dontae562 The comparison makes no sense , leonard came outta retirement way pass his prime, When chavez loss to whitaker he was completely in his prime , he was the same age as whitaker , randall was "older" than chavez, U call that unstoppable?? whitaker alone beat JC in his prime ,I don't include fights like JC vs Willy Wise Dela Hoya Gonzalez because Jc was clearly shot, who would bring up ray vs camacho, thats like holmes vs ali if u know ur boxing.......

  • @diablocoolo But leonard came back and made Duran quit, chavez may of had a chance against leonard in that 1st Duran fight but no chance against the stick and move Leonard from the 2nd fight, but i understand these are all just hypotheticals, the bottom line is , leonard defeated every fighter he faced in his prime, chavez started to lose to slick boxers in his prime, great fighters avenge their losses like Ali, Robinson, and Leonard

  • @diablocoolo Chavez may of had a chance against leonard in that 1st Duran fight but no chance against the stick and move Leonard from the 2nd fight, but i understand these are all just hypotheticals, the bottom line is , leonard defeated every fighter he faced in his "prime", chavez started to lose to slick boxers in his prime, great fighters avenge their losses.

  • @dontae562 Chavez wasnt in his prime when he fought Whitaker and Randall, his very prime was the mid-late 80s, that is what people really doesnt know, when he demolished Laporte, Rosario and Mayweather, if you know about JC u know that prime JC never gas out, and against Whitaker he gassed out, he was untrained, hungover and coked up, wasnt the same at all, no waist or leg movement whatsoever, so Whitaker had the easy downhill worn JC Chavez in 87-89 another story would have been

  • @dontae562 People loves to bring that up "Whitaker beat up the legendary prime Chavez" first of all Whitaker didnt do anything but running away, turning tail, clowning, throwing low blows and squatting so he didnt beat anyone, second, JC wasnt even in his prime (86-90) third, JC wasnt a natural welter, it was a little late 4 him to go welter it should have been around 90-91, Whitaker was the bigger and heavier guy and he did no damage at all, so he really didnt "beat" JC he survived to JC

  • @diablocoolo First of all Chavez was a serious betting favorite over whitaker if the the odd makers and casinos had him a favorite he couldn't have been pass his prime, how many times have u seen a pass prime fighter be a favorite over a great champ?? also at the time Chavez was p4p number 1, Chavez was the same age as Whitaker, Whitaker had more fights then Chavez if u include the amateur fights cuz Chavez never had an amateur career so if that's the case they were both pass their prime..

  • @diablocoolo By the 6th round Whitaker was pushing back Chavez even the the commentators said in the fight that now Whitaker is bowling Chavez back, "that was their exact words" Whitaker was in front of Jc all night using angles.what Oscar did against Trinidad in those last 3 rounds was surviving, he didn't even punch, Whitaker was still out punching Jc from the beginning to the end, Jc moved up in weight but was clearly stronger then PW , Whitaker had 40 fights with only 15 ko's

  • @diablocoolo Also come on dude be honest dont tell me b4 that Whitaker fight u were telling people that Whitaker was going beat Jc because Chavez was past his prime. Not only that but b4 that fight JC looked great in the Ali and haugen fight, now if Jc was 34 and Whitaker was 22 like Delahoya was that would be different

  • @dontae562 One simple question, did you see that night the same JC Chavez that beat the shit out of Rosario, Mayweather or Taylor? I didnt. Why? Because the guy had an extremely busy career, the guy fought 3 times more than Whitaker, De La Hoya, Taylor, etc. Differences between the prime Chavez (mid-late 80s) and the Whitaker Chavez. First, no waist or leg movement. Second, gassed out. He chased Taylor all of the fight and never gassed out. Clear that he wasnt at his best, in stamina (cont)

  • @dontae562 (cont) by the 8th round Chavez was out. Third, Chavez started drinking after the fight against Taylor, (he said it on tv recently) but after the Camacho fight he developed the bad reputation for closing bars and drinking his ass off. From 1990 to 1993 Chavez fought 15 times, Whitaker 8. Chavez was fighting 2 to 1 fights more than Pernell. Chavez was 142 pounds, Pernell 145, and still Pernell was running away turning tail and throwing low blows.

  • @dontae562 All Im saying is that Pernell didnt fight the best Chavez and that IS A FACT. Dont go "Oh my, the Sweet Pee beat Chavez blah blah" because he didnt. That is why the draw. In 135-140 in the late 80s, another story. Pernell, being the bigger guy, needed to go for the kill, he had the tools but he cared more about going backwards, turning tail, running away and squatting than fighting. Chavez said it "I was forcing the fight, all the guy did was hold me and throw low blows at me"

  • @dontae562 "I believe that after the fight against Camacho, JCs career went downhill, he was not as disciplined as before"

Daniel Zaragoza former world champ (video JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ DOCUMENTARY )

  • @diablocoolo don't talk out your fucking arse leonard was naturally bigger quicker and stronger and punched harder !! chavez was a featherweight lol chavez was schooled by taylor you buffoon !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sweetassugar69 HAHAHAHAHA!! schooled?? gimme a fuckin break!! Taylor almost died in that bout, he lived in the hospital like 10 days, today he can not even talk, JC went to a party after the fight, what a way to school someone u fuckin prick

  • @diablocoolo you fuckin mug what the fuck do you know taylor was way ahead at the stoppage and 2 seconds later would have won by 6 rounds to me thats a boxing lesson fair enough chavez pulled it out the fire but he was outboxed the whole fight ! you shut your fuckin mouth and go back to that hole you crawled from muggg !!

  • @sweetassugar69 hahaha outboxed yeah right, according to who? to the biased american commentators? rounds 4 and 6 were for JC, 9 to 12 too, shut da fuck up, Taylor flurries did nothing to Chavez, he was just too damn tuff, Taylor was landing 2 to 1 but that 1 Chavez landed really did damage, Taylor did no harm to JC, Chavez was way superior, stupid fuck

  • @diablocoolo it shows what a stupid mug you are for saying chavez could beat leonard when in reality a very quick kayo would be executed with chavez flat on his back think of frankie randall think of the golden boy lol you stupid mug in fact i i wish i could see you so i could slap the taste out your mouth ! yes taylor was ahead on everybodys score card except 4 some stupid mug called bollockhead !! go away muppet

  • @sweetassugar69 haha fuckin idiot, Chavez was NEVER koed and I mean NEVER, til he was past his prime (2000 against Kostya) I can see you are a fuckin ignorant bitch that knows shit about boxing

  • @diablocoolo obviuosly you never boxed to even consider a superfeather weight could have beaten sugar ray leonard and by the way leonard was never kayoed just stopped and that was when he was way past his prime when he was 39 chavez is great fighter at his weight but please dont confuse yourself more by saying he could beat sugar ray leonard !! jeez what a mug you are

  • @diablocoolo and one more thing i never said jcc was never a great fighter in fact for his era and weightclass is an all time top 5 great ! but you know he was to small for leonard and would have been knocked out or stopped ! chavez was 135 leonard 147 come on get a grip !!

  • @sweetassugar69 If Duran beat Leonard I think that in 140 prime to prime Chavez had a pretty good chance. And yes indeed Chavez is one of the greatest, I believe he is top 10 of all times not top 20 like most ppl say.

  • haha why is it alwayz a roger

  • El mas grande boxeador.mis respetos y admiracion

  • my brother is related to him on his father side

  • Comment removed

  • ray leonard is my 8th favorit e fighter ever.

  • just out of curiosity is he a muslim?

  • Great fighter. I saw Sugar Ray in a Phoenix Arizona hotel. He was with singer Johnny Gil who was visibly gay. It raised a few eyebrows especially amongst the black folks who noticed Johhny Gil's gay azz. I hope leonard has a legitimate excuse. If not, what the hell. He was one of the most complete fighters I have ever seen.

  • is that Micheal Moore narrating?

  • There will only be one, Sugar Ray Leonard.

  • Thanks for posting this, keep up the good work!

  • in a 100 years his story will be even more legendary.

  • Stop singing and started swinging, lol a great line for a great fighter

  • legendary man, skills, thrills, majesty, there is no other fucker, like this man.

  • @veronicadajani yes there is, their names are Muhammad Ali and Sugar ray Robinson :)

  • SRL was one of the most skillful fastest smoothest fighers in boxing history.

Only a young muhammad ali and sugar ray robinson were more skillful.

  • That Richard Steele has got to be one of the most outrages referee in the squared circle.. In all of the fights I've seen him ref in, he never allows alot of in fighting to happen, a poor ref to with work for a Boxer of an infighting style, but good for those who like to fight at a far range..

  • I love all those haters who never had the balls to get onto a ring and talk about the legens like theyre fucking experts, kiss my dick, youre too worthless to kiss theirs

  • to:Kamelancieen

    "RESPECT"

  • amen

  • @Kamelancieen Its oblivious your blinded – as Sugar “Gay” has seduced you.

You have your nose so far up his ass that you can’t see – he was a “runner” and “holder.” Matter-o-fact your nose is so far up Sugar “Gay’s” ass; you could actually lick his balls!!!

  • @41ofus

DAT MADE NO SENSE........... but only on youtube u talk bout ray, cause in reality, ur be livin 6ft under

  • @mrKANYEwes it's all good, it only makes sense if you see that Sugar "Gay" Leonard was a "fake" in boxing; overrated, sneaky, crafty, manipulating bitch.

  • @41ofus

i thought he was a great fukin boxer! he was so fukin quik and shit. he inspires me. altho i do think that rematch with roberto was kinda messed up cause ray chose the bad time for a rematch cause thats when roberto was sik..

  • @mrKANYEwes Right, right. There 1st fight was like Leonard had no choice but 2 fight, Duran was on his ass. Duran didn't give Leonard no room to do anything. I mean; your not going 2 be fucking clowning around when someone is in your shit the whole fight. Duran gave Leonard an immediate rematch 6 mo. later. Duran gained 2 much weight that he had 2 lose 2 fast, and he was sick and still gave Leonard a good fight. 2 Leonard's discredit; he did'nt give Duran a chance 4 a 3rd till much later.

  • @41ofus

but he was still a great fighter. not the best. but he was still great. not just because of his fights, but because what he was willing to do. just getting in the ring with thousands of pple watching is alot

  • @mrKANYEwes Agreed.

  • @41ofus arse bandit you are bitter and jealous about the great sugar ray lol he was the best period !! good night god bless arse bandit lol

  • @sweetassugar69 Sweet as sugar 69 (nice name - for a Sugar "Gay" Lover) - I'd bet you'd like to 69 Sugar "Gay" Leonard wouldn't you? You'd like to work Sugar "Gay's" corner, would'nt you? Sugar "Gay" really liked to hold his "opponents" alot in fights - if he could; he'd hold them from behind. Well, gay marriages are legal in California...So Sweet as Sugar, will you take Sugar "Gay" as your lawfully wedded husband / wife? Your guys new name will be: Mr. & Mrs Sweet as Sugar Gay Leonard 69.

  • @41ofus fuck me you have blown my cover lol there's a famous word that bruce willis in pulp fiction says and it defines you perfectly mongoloiddddddddddddddddddd lol

  • LEGEND

  • Sugar "Was Shittin in his Gay Shorts" Leonard at the prospect of fighting Pryor!!!!

  • Sugar "Gay" Leonard ~ I agree with Mr Thriller4life. Ducked Aaron Pryor - never gave Benetiz a rematch. Ran and held Hagler the WHOLE FIGHT. Conned Hagler to use 10oz gloves instead of the standand 8oz gloves - 12 round fight intead of 15 ~ 21 foot ring instead of 18 foot. I'm suprised the faggit didn't ask Hagler to fight on his knees with 1 arm tied behind his back!!! Gave Hearns and Duran a rematch 50 years later. Sugar "Gay" Leonard the biggest fraud in boxing.

  • youre blind and clearly a hater..lol he outboxed the shit out of hagler...i think one rd he hit hagler like 200 times!!!! youre blind!!!!!

  • He waited till the last 10 seconds of the round (something he did over and over, in hopes of stealing the round, and stupid ass judges fell for it every time) so he threw his "faggit" flurry of "pitty-pat" punches. Leonard was a "fraud" plain and simple.

  • even without the last ten seconds he beat up hagler in at least 9 of those rds he was puch hagler off the ropes and walking backwards and forwards he hit hagler with every punch you can think of....hagler looked like the one who hadnt fought in a while all he did was walk forward and get hit the whole fight

  • he landed the most punches so he won the round. Hagler missed tons of punches.

  • It's hard to land punches when Leonard is "bear hugging" your ass and running around the ring the whole. Richard "Stole the fight from Hagler" Steele, warned Leonard about 50 time to stop holding and never took a point away.

  • thank u!! finally someone agree's with me about leonard..

  • gemmell0007 yur a straight sugar gay dickrider...obviously i got 2 u if u responded...just face it he's overated...and stfu saying he's the closest thing 2 ali...ali didn't duck anybody asshole...ray leonard did....cough cough aaron pryor...cough cough iran barkley....cough cough....pipino cuevas...so that's three people right there & tell me i'm wrong

  • umm yea those ppl u named are noobs lmfao

  • then in the hagler fight he waited 50 years 2 finally sign the contract..i mean come on fight them when there at there best..i mean sugar agy is smart i'll give himthat 4 his dirty tacticts but he can't fool me..plus most of his sissy fights are premature stoppages...hint hint check out the kevin howard fight...hearns-leonard 1..wilfred benitez...those are all stopped 2 early...i swear he pays the refs & judges 2 help him win..b-cuz he doesn't punch hard enough

  • this guy proves u dont need to hit hard to be a great champ, ur on here slating a legends career wtf he is the closest thing to Ali there is. HAGLER WAS THE CHAMP LEONARD DIDNT BOX FOR 4 YEARS.

  • umm dude he fought hagler after coming out of retirement evrybody thought he was going to get murdered!!! what the hell are you talking about 50 years??

  • hagler always got hit flush no matter who he fought and leonard was retired all them years he so call was waiting he was also getting older tooo!!! besides wasnt like he was fighting anyone else...and by the way hagler was the one who wanted him to come out of retirement

  • his beyond the glory is pussy fights...all light punchers except duran, hagler, & hearns.....he is overated!!..i mean come on all he did was fight named people..he waited 4 them 2 get weak & then fought them 4 instance...the duran fights he huried into the rematch b-cuz he knew duran doesn't like 2 train intead he eats...then hearns rematch he waited so long b-cuz in 1988 hearns is going downhill putting up bad performances....wait there's more i'll continue on the next comment

  • he waited for them to get weak? please stfu u know nothing he beat all three of the men u described and he beat hagler after he'd been out of the ring for 4 years, duran quit like a bitch and hearns got gtfo so stfu

  • That body shot at 1:06 , aouch...

  • tysons beyond the glory is the best

  • Yea it really was I was like captivated watchin it haha

  • Love the Beyond the Glory vids. Thanks, l2duis. Leonard was relatively easy to like.

  • good vid...thats why you shouldn't change a fighters natural aptitude and fortitude...work with it.

  • Those '80s fights with Sugar Ray were the best of the era, much better than the Tyson maulings.

  • LOL

  • fightin style is sweeter than sugar.....any body thats fightin lightweight should idealize him. after sugar ray robinson....he is the greatest lightweight.

  • they werent lightweights and the sweeter than sugar thing was said about walker smith aka sugar ray robinson not leanord.

  • Fox Sports does a lot of "Beyond the Glory" with Boxers. Nice to see fighters get recongition.

  • thanks 4 posting m8

  • he dint duck aaron pryer pryer said the same thing about hearns but hearns offered him a fight twice in the 80s and pryor dint want it.

  • Fantastic champion, but he didn't win that Hagler fight, not even close.

  • Ray is the man.

  • In a Homo relationship. Sugar "Gay" Leonard.
