I would play ice hockey but since my parents are divorced, i cant play any hockey... Except on the street with my buddies. I'm only 11, so i play as much as possible. 3 hours a day. I started on January 25th. It has been 6 days. I'll admit, i learn fast.

the main difference between ice and roller is that not everyone has an ice rink infront of their house. i play both now, but can say im better at inline. growing up, the closest ice rink was 35 minutes away. ice or inline, both are hockey and both are tough. just depends on how fortunate you are on living close to an ice rink. streets are everywhere, ice rinks are not.

Not my fault that my parents can't afford ice hockey when they were countryside farmers who immigrated from a country that was infested with genocide and war, work in a factory, and cannot speak English properly. Inline hockey is just as difficult as ice. I'm 15 and I may not be able to get the chance to ever play ice hockey, but in the future I will definitely let my kids have the chance.

Love how biased the comments are from both sides. Both games require different skills, no game is "tougher" or "harder to play" than the other. Both are fast paced, both require endurance, both teach you how to play the other better. If you play inline try ice if you play ice try inline. Inline is a MUCH faster paced game then ice, Ya it doesn't look like it in this vid cause blue was on the PK, but c'mon seriously if some of you guys knew the rules before you knew you sould feel stupid. there is no icing, no 2 line pass, no nothing. you can't say ice is faster, can you make a 2 or even 3 line pass in ICE no. you can hit the other guy with a 180ft pass if you wanted to.

I have to disagree with all of you that say ice is better, or inline is for pussys that don't want to get hit. I have played both since I was about 3, at a AAA level since I started travel in both, and I have recently quit ice hockey just because inline is more fun to me, and it feels like it takes alot more skill and it's just a faster game, with alot less cheap shots then ice. It's just your preference :)

This reminds me of how we used to play street hockey on my block. I've played ice hockey as well, but our street hockey games as kids were the best. When we didn't have rollerblades, we'd just go at it on foot. I remember sending slapshots airborne all the way down the street. We played for hours on end, and I remember doing best as a goalie. Even the all-star ice hockey team players couldn't score on me at goal lol.

Not sure if you know but in inline, we use a red (Rocket) inline puck, so it's pretty easy to pick up on the blue Sport-Court...

Ice Hockey is alot harder, i play inline, and have played ice hockey a few times in the winter. The puck is a shitload heavier and it takes alot more control to stickhandle, and you have to avoid offsides and icing.
