there's no way to tell if he was wounded from that range. there is no 'action' to be pulled out of...theyre deploying IED's, and were dealt with, most properly.

I don't understand near the 6th second we can hear him firing but no shells on the field. What happened? How come he fires but the traces disappear?

sounded to me like he hadn't set 'auto-range' which means that the laser rangefinder's output hadn't been fed into the computer for targeting with the gun, the rounds likely fell short.
this is all just guess work based on what was said, I have not technical knowledge on the subject.

Its a helicopter, not a plane, its not circling. He misfire at first because he used the wrong range setting, I wonder if he accidently hit something else. The second target is a girl or young boy that couldnt hear the first salvo because the tractor was running loud.
