@6581r2 Well, shot me if I am terribly wrong, but 1:39 - 3:15 - 3:41 and 4:30 sound like some veeery old tunes, I have made between 1988 - 1990. My new Amiga-compatible SAM 460 arrived 2 weeks ago, tell you what its exciting to be back using AmigaOS once again! And lots of software updates coming this summer as well, a WebKit browser (like Safari), FireFox 4, OpenOffice (well next year likely). A full Mesa graphic experience at some point this year hopefully, future is looking quite rosy for anyone wanting to relive AmigaOS. Check out amigaos(dot)net for the low-down.
The music at 8:00 reminds me of the intro sequence of "Final Fight" for the Amiga. It is the only version that has that title music, other consoles and remakes never had it and it was awesome..
Amiga IS THE computer, i can't say i miss it, because i still have my Amiga 1200, and my Amiga 500, i kept it all these years because i knew back then that if i sell it one day i will miss it, and now they are working i have my 1200 on my living roon connected to my LCD, with hard drive, expansion acelarator card and all the games you can imagine thankx to the web, i just nedd to connect to my PC and voila, all the games i want i copy to a floopy disk or to my HDD LONG LIVE THE AMIGA..
@MrHEADBANGERpt ... I actually got rid of my Amiga about 10 years ago, it was a hard choice and ever since I badly regret it, but thanks to the internet I now use the Emulater and own most games.. I have my Amiga emulater and other emulaters running through my 1080P pc connected via HDMI to my 120" roof mounted projector and it is better than it was when I owned one because now I have an awesome setup with DENON surround sound..... nothing compares... Super Cars is awesome....
Lol I still have my Amiga 500 one of the 1st off the German production line. That and a original ST with hard disk outside the the case. I loved them both.Had the ST hooked up to a DX7 which I sold.Damm great times.

@surfitlive You are talking about things you never did. If you knew the Amiga THAT well you'll know that ST-01 stands for the samples of the 1st Soundtracker by K.O. And you know what ? This is what this video is playing.
I used to make music with this amiga... I owned the a500+, the A2000 and then the A3000... The A2000 was a good machine for that time... I've had a MIDI setup and a 14bits audio sampler... It Was awesome... Good times!
Oh how I miss my miggy..Worst thing I ever did was get rid of my miggy 1200 for a shit pc and an XT at that, at least this year I bought a macbook pro!
My mint condition, fully working Amiga 4000 040 will be appearing on eBay in the next few days. Complete with SVGA monitor, keyboard, mouse, joystick, and loads of software. Happy bidding.
I learnt to make music on the amiga, while everyone else has moved onto using pc music editors i still use MOD's and still create better music than a lot of people i know using typical pc software, man i loved the amiga
@Rickyfre5h I still use mod's to make music and i still make better music than my cubase, reason, fruity loops type friends, i use a tracker on the pc now but its still like making it on the amiga, brilliant

A bit silly to think Amiga systems beat professional (digital) sound systems (i.e. synthesizers) of that time, although some people do think so. Well, for a year or two this might have had some truth....

Thanks for uploading 6581r2. There’s something magical about the Amiga Era, a massive movement in creativity and innovation was born, many developers that graced this wonderful machine are now industry heavy weights....Tons of decent free software and no shortage of ideas....oh the nostalgia:) The rolls royce of computers!
'Then you are clearly deaf, the playstation 3 has the greatest audio capabilities of any home system ever made' looks like Sony sent their fanboys to the Amiga section too. Is nothing here untainted these days.
I actually heard some of these tunes ORIGINALLY on Fasttracker 2.5 on my old 386 computer back in the day, under Dos 6.22.. Had it in my loft, used to go up there and start it up when I was bored or wanted to be by myself.. This is somer serious lovely shit!
Or atleast share a linky with the music we can download from :S its more or less impossible to find these songs, either they are wrong quality to high, or just sound plain wrong. Or like song 8. Unknown popcorn ? come on :S
That list doesnt help much, either its completely wrong, or its amazingly diffucult to find the right songs with those names, please help, more linkies for slinky who loves funky amiga music ^^
Haha I had one of these... now i just use an emulator..... Kind of reminds me of my xbox360..... both are awesome both had red death lights lol. But at the end of the day the Amiga wins hands down, obviously not graphics wise but it was more fun over all which could not compare to anything. The 360 you would just play games thats it, the amiga you would play around with music composer programs or deluxe paint or even make your own games with "S.E.U.C.K." and we can't forget using X-Copy lol...
Even though I have never once owned or used an Amiga I absolutely love the music people created for it. I remember sitting around with my dad browsing BBSes and Usenet looking for MODs to play on our good ole' Mac Classic and later LCII.
Something once gotten off of a BBS 20 years ago now sits on my iPod plugged into my car.
If Deathjester from 1991 is out there and sees this I'd like to say that I LOVED the Gilligan's Island theme you did!
if any of you guys are looking to get yoourself an Amiga look on Ebay,.. i picked up an A1200 with external drive and a mountain of games and demos for peanuts
The Amiga was the best computer for many years, like my friend said "Too bad they didn't develop it further instead of the PC, then we would have much better computers today".
I do have to confess that up to 2002 I used some ST-samples for drums in a heavy metal project. Still haven't found better sounding machine drums.

I already put a link in my previous reply.
I am talking about 14 bit playback not recording.
To record at high rates/bits required >68000
As far as an ST-01, this video is about AMIGA MUSIC NOT ATARI.
My ref to 14 bit is for AMIGA ONLY.
surfitlive 1 year ago
@surfitlive You are talking about things you never did. If you knew the Amiga THAT well you'll know that ST-01 stands for the samples of the 1st Soundtracker by K.O. And you know what ? This is what this video is playing.

@gibs2b
And I made a mistake...did you mean ST-01 as in "Sampledisk for Trackerbased Composer Software?"
Stupid me thinking of ATARI ST.:O
Ok on the synth(SID) vs sample explanation, it wasn't clear in your orignal post.
Of course you cant make an 8 bit recording into 14 bits properly, but that was not what I was saying.
I was just pointing out that Paula (HARDWARE)CAN put out 14 bits. However it is done, doesn't matter.
I was NOT discussing about any software problems.

God the Amiga could pull off some awesome stuff.

I still have my warranty intact Amiga500, bought in 1991. The best music and fx of that time were the Amiga.

The Amiga was the best computer for many years, like my friend said "Too bad they didn't develop it further instead of the PC, then we would have much better computers today".
