  • It made me think of Bartok's celebrated "night music" in Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta... and of Crumb's "Haunted Landscape."

  • Ack! You cut off the end of the movement! (The "shockwaves" after the "explosion.")

  • awesome. i'm working on this right now, Piano 1.

    this piece is beautiful.

  • @trunks2861 I don't think this is beautiful. And I don't think Crumb meant for it to be beautiful.

  • Okay I've never heard this before but I'm familiar with the score, and I came here expecting to not like it. I actually did like it, it really went somewhere, in a sci fi movie soundtrack kind of way. It's an abstract soundscape, brings up a lot of visual images.

Like a lot of things I'm not a fan of, if there's an exceptionally well done example I appreciate it.

  • Genius.

  • great

  • is that some kind of sick joke? or are you just retarded, obviously you haven't developed a decent set of ears and cant hear the intricacies george crumb has layered in this piece, and yes it is subtle
