I was going to say the same thing. i think Bathsheba looks good in pictures, but in person t is kind of dirty. The only thing I went here for was surfing, I saw a couple of jackasses trying to swim in there but failed. Best waves in barbados I would say.
yeah man, the main problem with the east coast is that all the trash floating arround in the atlantic washes up, and no1 picks it up. personally i think the best beach on the island is crane beach, did u get a chance to visit?. and my favorite spot to surf is west coast, when its breaking, which is a rarety tho. big clean waves, regular sets
Yeah we were at Crane beach for 4 days straight. We got there at 10Am and left when the sun was going down. Best beach hands down. Barbados people are what makes the Island so great. I enjoyed my stay 110% I stayed at Bouganvillea for 7 nights and at Crane for 2.
thats great! glad u enjoyed ur stay man, did u get to go to the oistins fish fry? im assuming so lol, but even i love that, and i go all the time, love the bbq red snapper
No didnt go to the fish fry. I did go to the place where locals hang out and mingle. Right across street from Kentucky Fried Chicken.
I got ice cream cones everyday from the place. The lady running the ice cream stand was nice and polite.I am going again in May.The people in Barbados make me wanna move there. Great service/friendly.I was lost in my rental car and som lady out on East coast was kind enough to lead me back to main road, didnt even accept when I offered money for her trouble.
oh safe man, i think that is 1 of the reasons why barbados is so popular, because u get to mingle with the locals and find out the islands true culture, alot of other places are way too americanized in the way they treat the tourists, never really finding out the islands culture
I remember I was lost around some cane fields and was on some dirt road and I happened to see a car coming. I asked the lady if she knew how to get to road, she said "follow me" and then at end of the road she turned back. She wasnt even going my way and was kind enough to lead me to road. I offered her money and she didnt accept, I said thank you and we went on.
Also I was around Bottom Bay and I saw a house and dead end street where it said "Bottom Thugs" on the side of house? any idea about
o safe, i havent been to bottom bay in a while, i do remember the abandoned house tho. thats just graffiti from wannabe gangsters, but no1 really gets too violent in barbados, there is obviosly crime, but its mainly muggings. people expect tourists to have alot of money. but its not too regular an occurance. and with reguard to those wannabe thugs, most of them are all talk lol.
oh, I will remember that when I go back. Where can I hang out with REAL locals. I was at a convenience store way out in the middle of nowhere and locals were hanging out, we talked for 30 min or so then I had to go. seemed like they didnt mind I was not from there. I would like to move there , but I dont know where to get employed, any idea?
o wow, it depends on what u would want to do with regard to work. but to be honest i have no idea on that topic. but yeah, you can hang out with the locals in lots of places, if u like clubing the gap is it, its almost 50-50 between locals and tourists. i definately recomend oistins fish fry on a friday night. there are also sum bars on the oposite side of the street. but just in general, most people are friendly enough to have a conversation with. rum shops/ bars are fairly common
lol most people on here, myself included are tempted to move the camera around to capture everything they can, but it looks much nice when you stay still and pan a little the way you do it. You should do a wildlife video! With all the birds and sounds, and at night too with the whistling frogs! The grackles and whistling frogs are trademark Barbados!

When was this taken? When I left at the end of March '08 a big storm had washed out all the sand on the beach. Has it returned to normal?

Thanks TdotSoul. I learned that once your sound is clean and your shots are tight the result will always be good.
