Superman Returns - Airplane Rescue

I thought this scene looked like something produced from Looney Tunes rather than a serious big time production like Richard Donner made in 1978. He's having this much trouble controlling an Airliner with full powers; yet later on after he's had his ass thoroughly kicked by Lex and his henchman; after receiving a lethal dose of Kryptonite via stabbing; then gets his but flushed in the drink, which nearly drowns him; he then lifts an entire Island of deadly Kryptonite into space. See what I mean

Welling rejected the part of superman in the movie. He didnt want to be labled as only "Superman" (like when ever you mention sean connery, bond is first to comes to mind) he also rejected to wear the superman crest (in smallville they used the kryptonian sign, originaly it was spoused to be the sign of jor-el (the S sign)

Brandon Routh SUKD big time as Superman he was so GAY,even Josh Hartnett would have been better as i think he went for a screentest. Smallville suks it was good 4 the first few seasons now it's so shite they got no good storylines.

Brandon Routh in my opinon looks and sounds more like Christopher Reeves than Welling. I like Welling as Clark on Smallville and was upset that he didn't get the movie roll, but I seriously think he wouldn't have done as good as Routh. Routh just looks young, and this was his first major roll. Wait till the sequel.

You may know this but this movie is just a tribute to Superman the movie, and one to Christopher Reeve the only man we can really call Superman. That's where they get most of the lines in this movie from.
